I am 38 year old thinking of getting a rhinoplasty my only worry is does it help with face symmetry as my jaw is slightly longer u want to achieve symmetry when i laugh as well so what correction does you recommend just rhinoplasty help with the desired symmetry
I have a weirdly proportioned face and Im worried that even if I get a rhinoplasty my face will still look bad or even look worse because of it. Would a rhinoplasty improve my facial harmony or should I be looking into other options?
I am an 18 year old female, 56 and 175, working to lose a good amount of weight before looking into a very possible surgery. I have a very round nose, quite bulbous, and Im very interested in a plasty since my nose seems to be done developing. Its been like this forever. I hide the bulbous-ness by posing my nose, where I can move the muscles in my nasal region so the tip appears slimmer and closer to my mouth. I am curious about the cost of a surgery, what the best kind of surgery would be, and how long it would take to fully recover or get back to moving around and going to school. If this is too much and would just require a consultation, I understand. Thank you. Its something Ive been insecure about and disliked for as long as I can remember. Its one of two things that bother me, the other being my weight, which I can change. Even after losing a lot of weight a few years back, my nose looked the same. I just want to relax, and not worry about posing my nose all the time to feel comfortable with myself. In my mind, I am beautiful, but when I look in the mirror my face does not match what I percieve myself to be.
Hi there, I would like some advice on whether I need a graft for primary rhinoplasty. I have surgery booked for January and my surgeon has said it's not necessary but I'm worried it may influence the final result. I was also considering going on a course of accutaine before surgery and continuing through the healing journey but the surgeon said this also is not necessary. I'd really appreciate your professional opinion. TIA
So I understand that sometimes an open roof is formed from shaving down a dorsal hump and then sometimes an osteotomy is performed to close the roof. My question is are the bones just repositioned closer together so the open part is less visible? Or do you actually make a full triangle and have the bones touching? If the bones are just pushed closer together, does the open roof then heal over? Or will it always be open but just not visible as the bones are sufficiently close?
