I had a severe infection in my nose that was likely a staph infection that could be caused by me plucking hairs. After the infection subsided I had a hugeish hump on the bridge of my nose that seems like its bone. Is this hump permanent(it feels like the actual bone changed) or will it resolve itself over time? And is it possible for the staph infection to have caused formation of this hooked hump on my nose from bone?
I had a rhinoplasty 2 months ago and pretty much the whole time Ive had this rotting flesh smell only on one side. Just makes me nervous because Ive had an impetigo/staph breakout as a kid and needed antibiotics to keep it from creeping up into sinuses and further. I have no other symptoms though like fever or pus etc.
I've been on biologic autoimmune medications for a while and they have been causing constant mrsa/staph infections in my nose. I've been hospitalized twice because of this. Today I noticed that my nose tip appears to be separating and my nostril is collapsing(?) Is there something that can be done to stop this from worsening and return my nose to normal? What price range are we talking about? Thanks
For the past 4 years I have struggled with staph boils on my thighs and inner buttocks. Antibiotics have helped in the past, and I am about to see a doc to find out if I am a staph carrier. If it turns out that I am, is it safe or smart to have plastic surgery done? (Rhinoplasty and Mommy Makeover) Is it pretty much a guarantee I will suffer post-op infection? Any and all info on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Always thankful for the knowledgeable doctors here on Realself. Thanks!
