I have an asymmetrical nose that I would like to improve. The left side is puffier and cartilage is more pronounced. It is bulbous and I would like it to be less so. I am happy with the size as my nose is still fairly small but I would like more symmetry. I have type 2 rosacea which I am working to control before plunging to a procedure. Advice on if my request is possible please
Heading to a consult appt on the 8th. I found out my skin issues was due to rosacea about 3 years ago. After my dermatologist retired I sought a new doctor and questioned me how I was treating my phylma. Found out what is was by google search I decided to try my luck with a laser procedure. Here is my question. Will having this procedure reduce the size of my nose. I have always wanted to have rhinoplasty but after my spritual experience ive learned to accept it then i was faced with this
I haven't had nose surgery, but due to rosacea/flushing on my nose, I have had swelling/edema of the nose for 4-5 months. Now, when the swelling subsides a bit, my nose looks bigger / more droopy at the tip. Is it possible that a few months of nose swelling can: a) cause fibrosis in my nose which makes it permanently bigger b) make my nose permanently more droopy from the swelling pulling it down Or is it unlikely that the swelling has caused permanent changes?
I have contacted 3 doctors who declined my request for rhinoplasty. I do not like the projection of my nose compared to my chin. I would also like a slight curved slope to my bridge instead of just straight. My nose tip swells up a lot and gets red when I cry or do exercise, it also gets sore and sensitive (due to my rosacea?). I have 1 mL of HA injections in my chin and my nose still looks long. I do not want a chin implant as I prefer a delicate chin and jaw. Why do I keep getting refused?
Hello, I have Bell's palsy and rosacea also was burned under my nose and on lips and had cancer treatment. I'll explain below.1. Bells has made my nose hard to breath out of, say and good on left eye, brow is flat, can't form smile on left in fact looks like frown mostly. Looks like double chin on one side. Can these be corrected? 2. Rosacea - would like to correct redness and make my nose like it use to be, in other words back to smaller version 3. Fix the burns under nose and correct lips. 4. Help get rid of some of this texture that cancer treatment has gov possibly soften it?
I have Hashimotos, and I recently have begun to suspect dermato as well because of Gottron's papules and a very elevated creatine kinase. I just broke/fractured my nose last night and a dorsal hump appeared immediately. What kind of clearance or evaluation do I need before a surgery? Do thyroid antibodies matter? If there are any specific tests that would be so helpful. I also have rosacea on the face, which may mean that my autoimmune disease affects the skin on my face.
I had a rhinoplasty over 2 years ago and was happy with the results. Unfortunately 6 months ago I had a flareup of rosacea that led to pustules and skin thickening of my nose. While it's not rhinophyma, my nasal skin is thicker and the nose slightly bigger. Are there any medications/steroids/lasers that could thin the nasal skin? I will always have thick nasal skin but I would like to reduce it from the present state. Thanks.
I have had an oily and slightly disfigured nose since I was a teenager. I wasn't aware that this was related to my rosacea, and I had rhinoplasty to improve it's appearance. I am now 36 and the condition has exacerbated to the point where I have a small nodule on the front of the nose and overall swelling. I think this is early rhinophyma. If so, what treatment would be optimal for me? thank you.
