I have Septo-rhinoplasty on march 2021 right after my nose looked very crooked, but i knew it was just the swelling, a year past and it definitely got better but it still looked slightly crooked, my doctor suggested steroids shots to help reduce the swelling i been having them here and there but now im 3 years post-op and my nose still looks slightly crooked and dont think the steroids shot are doing anything, if there anything else i can do?
I underwent a primary rhinoplasty in March of 2021. I had my dorsal hump removed and my tip lifted. It wasnt perfect (crooked from front view) but it was a huge improvement so I was pretty happy. Between the last year (2.5 years to 3.5 years post op) Ive noticed a huge lack of definition in my tip appearing, which is odd, Ive always heard the opposite. It feels squishy, not hard at the tip. Any insight on this? Do I need a revision?
3 years ago I had rhinoplasty. As medical worker I was wearing double n95 mask for last 1.5years which has put my nose under pressure. Couple of months ago I have noticed slight depression or flattening of the bridge. Side profile is still perfect. Is this some deformity or can I somehow fox this?
Hello, I had rhinoplasty 3 and a half years ago. There is excess scar tissue formation inside my nose. Since the right side of my nose is round and soft, I think there is scar tissue formation there as well. Is it useful to apply steroid injection? Even if I had a revision, I was hesitant because there was a possibility that it could reoccur.
I'm 38, had rhinoplasty +septoplasty exactly 3 years ago with a well renown surgeon in my area who only specializes in nose jobs. After 3 years and 9 steroid shots, my nose is still very crooked due to lots of scar tissue and multiple firm bone-like bumps. My Dr. is saying my nose looks great as the bones are straight, I just have lots of calluses and scar tissue. Can this be true? PS: He is offering free revision to file off bumps, but for scar tissue he suggests to keep doing shots.
I got a rhinoplasty 3 years ago and the tip of my nose is still bulbous. Steroid shots provide help, but if I do not do them every few months, my nose tip swells again. I really like the shape of my nose after the steroids kick in and my doctor says it may just take time, but everything I've read indicates any swelling should be gone. Is this normal? Is there anything I should be doing to aid in the recovery? Can I ever expect my nose shape to be what it is after the steroid shots?
I had septorhinoplasty 3yrs ago which caused my nose to collapse ..6 moths ago had revision rhinoplasty with my own rib cartilage to correct this but im still having thick green mucus out of my nose daily and the actual skin on my nose is red and looks scarred and the actual skin on the tip leaks fluid sometimes tinged with blood and smells..went to see my surgeon he has now retired so i saw another ent doctor who said evrything looks ok just keep washing out my nose im not happy what can i do
Hello. I had an open rhinoplasty in 2019, then a minon revision (was awake for this, just a small touch up) in early 2021. The tip of my nose always seems to be a bit red. Should this be a cause for concern? The main things Im worried about are things like tissue death, necrosis, infection etc but Im not sure if those things are even possible years later. Is there a treatment for this?
my rhinoplasty in October 2020. There is a lot I'm not happy with like the bump on my right tip, the inverted V, and the crooked tip. but what bothers and worries me most is the excessive swelling every morning that sometimes lasts all day. I feel like I only get to enjoy my straight skinny nose at night when I get home or sometimes the swelling lasts the whole day. Im worried also from a medical perspective, what could it possibly be and what can I do to manage the swelling or reduce it?
