At 9 months my surgeon said we can go in and do a minor revision to my nose . At 9 months my surgeon said that is ok I have thin skin . He will take temporal fascia to cover the two points in my tip and trim one graft that is pressing down on my nostril . Why is my surgeon ok with 9 months and others say 12 months ? Is 9 months to early with thin skin? There has been no change in my nose since 12 weeks .
Would really appreciate some help/advise. I had rhinoplasty 3 years ago for a smallish hump. I do have very thin skin in general and the swelling was significant I ended up having steroid injections but it only kept the swelling at bay for a little while. I am now 3 years post op and I am constantly waking up wondering what my nose will be like today. I find it its hot my nose will swell up! My nose before surgery didnt do this. Many thanks, chloe
I did nose filler a while back but the lady injected a lot in my tip so when it dissolved I noticed the skin was a bit thinn. Can I still Do a rhinoplasty? How would this be fixed? I want my tip lifted
I had a nose job when I was 20 years old, 6 years ago. These last couple of years Ive noticed one side of my nose is slightly tilted to the left and the skin on that side feels much thinner than on the right side. Both sides look very different but I dont know if this kind of thing can be resolved with another surgery or things like fillers would be enough.
I underwent a functional and aesthetic septorhinoplasty 7 months ago. The surgery was open and involved straightening the septum and fixing the turbinates. I am a 41-year-old woman with thin skin. After the surgery, the area swelled a lot and even after all this time, the swelling has not gone down. In my case, my upper lip (philtrum area) was very long, and now with the rhinoplasty, it has lengthened even more because the tip of my nose has been rotated upwards; it is quite upturned.
Hello, I was told by a plastic surgeon that my skin is too thick for rhinoplasty. The tip that is. Any new techniques? A dermatologist recently told me that RF microneedling can make it possible. Isn't laser a better option to attempt to thin the skin? Any info greatly appreciated, such a steriod options also. Thank you
I'm in my late 50s and am interested in rhinoplasty. I have been told that because my skin is so thin at the bridge I need to find a top doctor who specializes/only performs this surgery. Admittedly the skin is very thin. I haven't had luck finding this kind of doctor. Advice? Am I no longer a candidate for this surgery?
I am 22 year old female with fair (and probably thin) skin. I weigh 53kg. I broke my nose 12 weeks ago playing sport, and did not have it reset as it was only a confirmed break ~3 weeks post injury. Will a rhinoplasty improve the appearance of my nose? The dorsal hump is more obvious post injury, and there is some asymmetry (or so I think), especially under certain lighting. Thanks so much for any advice!
Im almost 14 months post op and ive seen this weird orange discoloration on my tip before, but now its gettinf worse and its red ans visible now from the front view. Smetimes its more of a verticale line, and its where there is a dent in the cartilage. Its also next to a scar where skin was probably torn. I hav thin skin. Is my skin quality going downhill? My surgeon hasnt been helpful and im scared it will only get worse..
Does this look like an inverted V? Ive always felt this big groove between the cartilage and boney part bit im now 10 months with thin skin and since my skin started shrink wrapping it became more visibe. Cant really get it on a pic but if you connect the dots you kinda see. I also aalready hae an open roof on the left ;(
