So, im basically 6 months post op now and im worried about my swelling on the tip. I dont know if its swelling or if its generally crooked now? It looked dead straight coming out of the cast however I have had a few minor bumps to the nose. Ive always noticed a difference in my rhinoplasty that my right profile always looked different from my left since day one of surgery. However ive never had any previous asymmetry, I know things cant be perfect but help!
Hello, I had my stitches and cast removed yesterday (6th day after surgery) and now I have found 2 blue stitches that have not been removed.. my surgeon is in another city and I have an appointment with him on the 21st can these stay in that long with no problems?
3 yrs post op primary septorhinoplasty. From the moment my cast was off i knew something was wrong, but I waited 3 yrs anyway. The front view of my nose looks very strange. Ive actually never seen anything like it before. The photos of before and after below speak for themselves. There is an actual complete break in the cartilage of my right alar rim. Saw my surgeon last week for rasping and he says my nose looks good and my alars are just naturally uneven. Any advice?
I want to have a rhinoplasty but concerned when i see complications. I want my nose bridge narrow (bone broken, shaved). I saw casts are taken off at 7 - 10 days? Can the nose just return to its normal shape or be botched cause it didn't have protection to stay in place?
I have been experiencing a very odd painful (to touch) area on the right side of my nose ever since cast removal. This area has always been very tender, however has gotten better through the months and seems at a standstill now.My other side of my nose feels very solid, no pain, however the side and area circled seems almost slightly more squishy and painful when I press it. I love my nose aesthetically, and have no other problems. But Im wondering if this is a complication?
I got a rhinoplasty in2021. I loved my nose straight out the cast. I had edema in my radix but that resolved. As time went on, the bridge of my nose began to appear swollen, some days are better than others. When I press down on my nose, the skin is soft and moves according to my finger pressing on it. My Dr inTurkey recommended getting steroid injections of at least 3-4 mg. The doctor I went to in the US did not think it was swelling bc its Soft but my nose did improve. Pls lmk your thoughts!
Hello! Im a little over 1 year post rhinoplasty. My nose shape has changed and Im wondering if it is swelling or if this is how my nose is going to look like now? It doesnt look like how it use to after the few months following cast removal and it has been fluctuating for the past year. I also have this bump on the tip of my nose Im wondering if it will go away or if it needs to be surgically reduced? They lifted my tip because I had a flat nose, he didnt use cartilage from my ear or rib.
I had Rhinoplasty to "straighten" my nose. I just got my cast off and it is clearly not straight. If a nose looks crooked when the cast is removed one week after rhinoplasty, does that necessarily mean that the nose will be crooked when the swelling is gone? Or could it just mean that the swelling is uneven? I just pray that when the swelling finally goes away that it will reveal a straighter nose than what I am seeing now.
Is it strange that my doctor did not remove my cast a week later ( his nurse did) and didnt see me till 6 weeks later for the first time after surgery? My nose has not turned out well and im close to a year post op. I am thinking back on all the red flags before and after surgery and am realizing that he did not remove my cast or speak to me. I thought it was routine but none of my friends had that experience. No photos either.
