Hi, I'm currently 1 year and 4 months post op rhinoplasty. Sometimes I will wake up with my face pressed into the pillow, I understand everything is fully set in place by now but can accidentally smushing it around into the pillow while I sleep do any damage? I'm usually pretty good about sleeping on my back but sometimes when I sleep on my side I still get super worried and I'm scared I could accidentally put too much pressure on it while I sleep and break it. Thanks!
I had a bump removed via closed surgery and ive been feeling a pressure like sensation around my nose mostly on the upper part of the tip. This has been going on for 2 months now but my doctor brushed it off and said that its normal. Is it normal? Could it be a sign of nose collapsing? Also i have never hit my nose
I had rhinoplasty, grafts and an osteotomy, done 4 months ago. One month in, I noticed that the right side of my nose was wider than the left. It wasn't easy to see but could definitely be felt. I went back to my doctor who had a look and said it could also be a blood clot that would resolve in time. The bump is still there and when I place some pressure on it now, I hear a clicking sound. Could it be that my bones have not set right? How long does it typically take blood clots to be resorbed?
Recently I just bought an eye mask (I dont know how its really called) and a face mask for covering the mouth. On the eye mask ot really touches the bridge of my nose will it like affect the shape of the nose? And for the face mask it touches my whole nose will it really affect the shape of my nose?
Im a male 24 y old and ive had septorhinoplasty. its been 11 months since the surgery and my nose is very tight and my face tightens when I laugh or do strong expressions. I have a lot of pimples and dirt on my nose because it is terribly greasy from the operation. I woukd also like second opinion if it Is normal to feel pressure when I try to wear glasses? This inside the nose, is it swelling or something else?
I never really liked the way my nose looked because it had a slight bump so I had the idea to press on it to try to make it straighter, so I did for about a month and a half for about 5 to 10 minutes each time (sometimes 3 times a day) with moderate to really hard pressure sometimes and I realized near the end of it I had gotten a really big bump around where I was pressing. Ive stopped now 4 weeks ago and Im just scared that its permanent because the bump doesnt seem to be going down
Hello, I hit my nose years ago and since then is my nose hump more prominent, i recently tried to push it back with my hands and the area got red, now I see the hump is even more rounder and bigger, it has been a month since incident and the area still looks the same, could i have deformed the cartilage or cause some bone growth? How is it possible that by applying pressure to my nose is now bigger in size?
4 months post-op I started feeling intense pressure on my nose and it lasted for almost 2 months. The pressure disappeared for a while but appeared again 2 weeks ago and it feels like my nose is sinking in. I am so anxious that it could be slowly collapsing because of the weak underlying structure. My nose is still very sensitive more than a year after the surgery. Does gradual nose collapse usually come with pain like feeling intense pressure specifically on my dorsum and tip of the nose?
Hello, I am about 10 months post op for my rhinoplasty (1st time) and overall aesthetically I love my results but there are times I have been feeling lots of internal pressure and lately some like tightness when I smile big or even while talking where it feels like my nose is just going to snap. Also when I yawn. Sometimes I get this weird like pulsating feeling if I yawn too big. Another thing too is I still have lots of boogers that I have to take out with a q-tip. Is this normal for 10 mths?
