I got cellulitis on the inside of my nose that extended to the outside center of it, the top, and part of the left side about 3 and a half weeks ago. I got on antibiotics quickly and finished my full course. I had some drainage but I did not require a lancing. The infection is long gone and I haven't had pain in weeks but there is still swelling and redness. Is this normal for the nose? Can this prolonged cause swelling cause any damage or scars? Can a rhinoplasty correct it?
Whenever I cry or Im sick my left nostril gets so blocked up with mucus, it doesnt flow like it used to before it just stays clogged and concentrated near my septum . Im confused on whether or not this is normal or is this due to swelling from internal nasal passages thats making it this way? Im 9 months post op and my left nostril is so so swollen it looks like how it does from 2 months post op at best.
I had septoplasty done around ten years ago. It over reduced my turbinates and blocked the drainage of my tear duct. Currently my nose is always dry to the point of bleeding. Even with gels, sprays, and humidifiers. Will reducing the airway passages by reducing the nose size relieve the dryness or will it cause further issues?
I had my septorhinoplasty on August 19th. My left nostril has shrunk/ stopped draining blood, my right side has shrunk a little, theres a yellowish elastic (nurse said its the suture) sort of hanging off the side of my nose but it keeps draining blood and forms clots whenever I clean it. She said to keep cleaning it and changing the Gauze until it falls out on its own. Its never drained blood like this before. Is it okay for the nose to do this? called the clinic and thats what they told me.
I'm still having a little bit of drainage, but it's mostly just mucus, and it's not enough to wear a drip gauze anymore. I'm so sorry these pics look so gross haha but I just wanted to check & see if this looks normal. A lot of people I've seen, their incision sight is nice and clean and blood free and obviously mine isn't. I just wanted to make sure it isn't like infected and this is normal 5 days post-op. Thank you!
I had an open rhinoplasty which involved taking cartilage from my ear and using it to pull my nose downwards/lengthen it as a follow-up to upper/lower jaw surgery that tipped my nose up. I had a small bump right below the tip of my nose, beside my left nostril. It was a small bump that randomly one day became infected like a pimple. I left it alone and it kept getting larger so I drained it (a strange pus-like fluid comes out) and now it is reoccurring/won't go away. Thoughts?
Should I be worried about the ice pack? Swelling in right nostril (see photo below) is this normal? Constant Blood drainage. I cannot breath and change my gauze every hour. Is it normal to have that much blood dripping out?
