I am 2 years post rhinoplasty and have yet to regain feeling in the tip of my nose and upper front teeth area. Is there any chance it will return? Im needing a revision as well, but dont want to make the numbness worse by having another surgery. Thanks
I had a septorhinoplasty 3 1/2 years ago. I had a rough go with lots of bruising, swelling, and pain. I have persistent pain on left side of my nose; sharp shooting pain starting at the top of my bridge and travelling down to my tip, and feelings of numbness in my tips. I have to take pain medication to alleviate some of the pain. My nose is now much wider and more bulbous than before the surgery. I have consulted revision experts but no one can figure out what happened. What could this be?
In 2018 I had a rhinoplasty and the dr. Suggested a chin implant as well to make my nose look more natural free of charge. I've noticed since then that there is slightly less sensation on my right lower lip and chin only on one side. When pressing on directly below the corner of my lip on my chin, that same side of my chin that the numbness is on, there is a noticeable pain/shooting sensation on what feels like a nerve. I feel like the chin implant may be pushing into my mental nerve.
I had a functional septorhinoplasty 10 months ago. The procedure included spreader grafts, caudal strut, turbinate reduction and septoplasty. My nose is still swollen around the tip and nostrils and along the left side . My baseline breathing is better, but if can't excercise without it swelling quickly. I'm wondering is what I'm describing normal? My nose also still feels slightly numb and firm to the touch. Thanks very much!
Hello There, Im now 9 months since my rhinoplasty was done in Turkey my swelling and numbness hasnt gone down I had a zoom call with my doctor and he said I need kenacort steroid injection to help with the swelling. Will this help? As I also cant breathe properly still after the surgery and no plastic surgeon in Queensland will give me this steroid injection Ive called everyone. Please help
20F Septorhinoplasty about a year ago How come when I walk around a lot and exercise it feels like Im breathing in cold, frigid stinging air? How come my turbinates are purple-y red? Why does my nose randomly ache and feel numb? Why is it dry like a desert? When I go about my day nose breathing I keep having to yawn like I cant get enough air. Seriously concerned. Help. My breathing is freaking worse
I had a nose job done in 2017 at the age of 17. Back then I experienced some bad smell in my nose, which I was told is normal. However, every once in a while, very rarely, I feel the same type of smell very faintly. I don't know if this is possible. Maybe it's psychological. Also, the tip of my nose never stopped feeling weird, kind of numb. I can defiately feel it when I touch it, but it's not like touching any other part of my skin. Does this mean the surgery was somehow done improperly?
I had rhinoplasty 8 months ago, and predominantly the healing process has been going very well! However, my concern is that the right side of my nose is still very numb, going from the bridge down to the nostril. It feels very stiff, and tingles mildly to the touch, and the tip is a bit more swollen still on the right hand side. I can't seem to find any concrete information on this, so I was curious if anyone knows if this is a normal possibility? Thanks for your help! Cheers.
Hi! I had a nasal skin graft (from ear cartilage) put in to repair quite substantial nasal valve collapse (vestibular stenosis). I'm three weeks post surgery and the graft site still feels numb. Is that normal and will the sensation return? Thank you!
Hi, I had a septoplasty and open rhinoplasty 26 days ago and my face is still very stiff and every time I attempt to smile, I feel a stretching sensation in my nose and face. Also my upper lip does not elevate when I smile and my smile looks very awkward. I had a droopy tip when I smiled so I was worrying if my muscles were removed and my smile will never be the same.
