I had rhinoplasty 16 years ago but recently noticed my nostrils getting higher so showing like a pig. My tip was always sticking up but I learnt to live with it. However it feels like the edge of the nostril / tip of my nose has dipped in and I think this is why the nostril is more on show. Side on you can see fully into my nose and cthe scar from the rhinoplasty. Help please
nose job 6 months ago. Now after 6 months I have trouble breathing, through one nostril. I have contacted my surgeon and he is not taking me seriously. He says I don't have a collapsed nostril. I feel like they just wanted my money. My nostril closes when I inhale. At the front of the nostril and on the side of my nose tip slightly above the nostril, my nose skin folds inwards. While breathing in I hear a heavy and wheezing sound through my nose. Please let me know if this collapsed
I'm not sure if I am able to reply to any of the answers to my original post. The doctor keeps telling me that I can keep wearing the dilator and I will see results. I'm not wearing for breathing, it's to fix the collapsed nostril. I had my rhinoplasty in August of 2022 -hump of the back was reduced. -structuring with cartilage grafts of the nasal septum itself -septal extensor was used -skin thin to intermediate -ultrasonic technique.
I have ongoing breathing issues due to naturally narrow nasal passages as well as nasal collapsing. I have been putting off surgery suggested by my ENT due to nerves about going under the knife but if I am going to do it I want to go all the way and galvanize my nose a little bit more. Attached are candid photos The first one is my nose currently and the second one is how I edited it. Ideally I would like to have better breathing as well as a nose that is more symmetrical for my profile and cute
In addition to some nasal valve collapse when I breathe in hard (when I workout and run), I do not feel like my nose is complimentary/ harmonious with my face. My cosmetic concerns are: -lack of definition in the tip (and one side more droopy than the other) -width of my nose looks large from the front profile -asymmetry -small bump on ride side of my nose Had septoplasty in 2013, now looking for definition, symmetry and structure. Would rhinoplasty/plastic surgeon be able to address my issues?
I am 5m post primary rhinoplasty. Breathing through one nostril is 50% obstructed. Directly after surgery there was a small lump, which probably was a small hematoma which wasn't drained. Now there is a stiff bulge right below the place where you can see the scar, parallel to lateral crus. The wall is sagging because of it. My surgeon prescribed 3 rounds of steroid injections to deal with edema and fibrosis. Can it be that UCL strut could ve been placed unilaterally and caused the bulging?
I don't have a deviated septum, but I feel like a piece of cartilage tore off the bone. It's been blocking my airway for 6 years. I went to an ENT and he said my septum was straight and he would be disinclined to do anything. My nose looks really pretty and small and straight. But on the inside, it's hard to breathe, sometimes it closes upon inhaling, and the right nostril I believe is collapsed. What can be done?
I've been on biologic autoimmune medications for a while and they have been causing constant mrsa/staph infections in my nose. I've been hospitalized twice because of this. Today I noticed that my nose tip appears to be separating and my nostril is collapsing(?) Is there something that can be done to stop this from worsening and return my nose to normal? What price range are we talking about? Thanks
After rhinoplasties, my nostrils are collapsed. I have heard that Latera Spirox can be used to open up the nasal airway. I am posting a picture on the left to show how my nose looks like in reality and on the right I am showing what I would like to achieve with latera by opening up my nostrils on purpose. Is this achievable with Latera spirox implant? Thanks in advance
