Im 11 months post op from primary rhinoplasty. I have a graft in the left side of my tip. That nostril is higher and pointier than my right one, which has a more natural shape. Asymmetry is very obvious when I smile. Im just wondering if its normal to place a graft (cseg I believe) on only one side and if nostril asymmetry is an expected result. What would you advise if I wanted a revision to make this issue better? I wont do an alarplasty on my right, more natural-looking nostril. FYI my before nose was crooked at the tip but nostrils were symmetrical when I smiled. My surgeon said my cartilage was very brittle and I dont think she had as much usable cartilage to use as she thought she would.
I got my primary rhinoplasty in December 2023. It seems that my doctor shaved down the bone but didnt do much with the tip. My nose looks over projected and upturned for my face. Also theres a bump on the side from the frontal view. I have brought up my concern and doctor offered to deproject my nose in-office, which I do not feel safe about. Please see all photos.
Hi, During the first three months, I felt awesome, but later I started waking up with constant runny nose, which worsened over time, adding issues like congestion and breathing issues, 2 months with Flonase gave temporarily relief. An endoscopic exam revealed inflammation and edema. CT scan: Extra large opening in the left maxillary sinus causing recirculation. ENT has offered ESS, He believes my symptoms are due to the recirculation which causing chronic allergy rhinitis(dust mite). Ideas?:)
Hi, I got a rhinoplasty on July 2023 (11 months ago) and still have uneven swelling with a hard tip. I am around 60kg and 20 years old. One side of my nose has a bump making it stick out more than the other side, also giving a slant to my nose and making the tip turn towards the other side. What should I do? Is this the cartilage or normal for swelling? Thank you!
Hello, I am a Caucasian 28 year old female. I had septo rhinoplasty in Europe 11 months ago. Post op I really liked my nose, it was straight and person. Over the last 4 months, it now appears sloped. I showed the surgeon via WhatsApp - he suggested hypertrophy of the tip? And that a steroid injection would help. You can see that it is very curved. I requested a straight nose. Any advice appreciated on how to proceed.

I have a lot of pimples and dirt on my nose because it is terribly greasy from the operation. I woukd also like second opinion if it Is normal to feel pressure when I try to wear glasses? I am 11 months post primary rhinoplasty and my left side in the picture is completely collapsed as compared to my right side in the picture. I dont mind the right side in the picture but the left is asymmetrical, collapsed? From the bridge down, and my entire cheek and even lip appear to be sunken or pulled down. My front view was not to change, and the bridge was straight. It was just to remove the bump, deproject it slightly, and so she had to reduce alars too. What is going on?
I had rhinoplasty about 11 months ago. I think there was a deformity in my nose tip from the very beginning of the process. Although I searched on the Internet, I did not encounter a similar problem. I have a triangular cartilage on the tip of my nose that can be seen in the light. It is evident when you touch the tip of the nose. Is this a sign of a failed rhinoplasty surgery? Should I tell my doctor about this situation? I think my nose tip will get worse as the days go by
