Hi, I had my rhino in 2017 and for many years I was happy with my results. 3 years ago I started a very stressful job and as a weird coping mechanism I used to pick at the blackheads on my nose every single day almost for 2 years. Then I left that job and now I only do black head extractions maximum twice a week. But I have noticed that whilst I had that job my nose tip became significantly wider and my nostril showed more and my nose was more lifted. This has not gone away. Any treatment?
Starting about 1 week after septo/rhinoplasty, using a sterilized plastic toothpick, I very gently applied the slightest amount of pressure to blackheads on my nasal bridge and nostrils to push out some large blackheads. I didn't push or manipulate my entire nose to the side, but now I am worried I have ruined things. Is the nose really that delicate after rhino/septo plasty?
I've had thick skin on my nose since forever. I am looking into getting a nose job and I know the issues with thick skin involved in nose jobs. It also wouldn't hurt if I could have more minor issues like blackheads and excess oil dissipate, as well as thinning skin solution. Is there anything I can do to thin the skin on my nose? I have heard in the past that topical prescription corticosteroids naturally thin skin with long-term usage. Would doing this give my nose a better starting point for surgery? Can any dermatologist help me out?
I have a rhino/septoplasty happening soon and I have been reading about how blackheads worsen after. So I was wondering what toners are good to use after surgery to combat blackheads and oil production or dry skin.
Hi all, I have more blackheads, acne, discoloration and just overall more rough texture on the skin of my nose post-rhinoplasty (2 wks). It doesnt look severe or abnormal and Im not too worried about it, but I am curious: from your experience with patients, when does the skin of the nose usually return to normal, more like the skin on the rest of the face? In the meantime, should skin regimens just be gentle? Cleanser/toner/moisturizer + SPF?
Hello, I had my surgery done and 10 days ago and had the splint taken off yesterday. My skin is absolutely awful, oily and raised blackheads on the nose (as expected). The doctor said I can wear make up so this includes removal of make up. So my question is, can I use a blackhead nose strip for removal so soon after surgery? Thank you for your time
hello, It has been 13 or 14 weeks since my surgery. I am really happy with the results but I had too many blackheads and I was so afraid to touch any of them but last week I couldn't resist and squeezed some of them. I was very gentle and tried not to harm anything but still I am very afraid because my nose has swollen since last week. Is it possible that I did harm it? I'm really concerned! Thank you so much!
I got my dorsal hump removed and septoplasty. I gained large pores and black heads on my nose, and before my rhino I never had such large pores on my nose and never had black heads before ever in my entire life. Will my skin go back to normal on my nose or will my pores remain large?
