I will obviously check with my surgeon. Just wondering based on your practice, when am I able to lift weights (small 3-5 pound weights) safely after rhinoplasty? Also, when would I be able to go slowly on an elliptical? What about sit-ups? Jumping on a mini trampoline?
I searched the board extensively , and you respected doctors , agree that stertorous exercise should be resumed from 2 to 6 weeks after rhinoplasty. My surgeon told me I can go to full activity after 2 weeks. I started lifting moderate weights after 3 weeks. But sometimes I feel pressure in my nose and face. But I am now obsessed that this pressure on my nose will increase tip swelling. Am I correct? Can exercise delay healing? Or docs advice to avoid it early on , just to avoid bleeding??
I am two weeks post op and going a little mad at not being able to work out any. I'm healing quite nicely with no facial swelling and hardly any nasal swelling. Is it okay to do light cardio and light weightlifting at this point? (nothing over 20 pounds). Or what exercises are allowed at this stage? When can I safely resume my full exercise routine? I worked really hard to get fit before my surgery and now I feel like I'm losing it all!
Hi, Monday will mark 6 weeks post op of my septorhinoplasty (with turbinate reduction). I was wondering if I could return to more strenuous exercise like weight lifting, running long distance, sprinting, and plyometrics. Could I also do burpees? I've been doing light exercise like walking/light jogging and elliptical training for the last couple of weeks.
2 weeks post open Rhinoplasty. Im a very active individual. My surgeon says 8 off exercise for all of his patients - his personal preference. This seems extreme to me, looking at some of the advice here. I was hoping to gradually phase cardio and weights from week 3, starting at 25% and working my way up to 100% over the following weeks. I do still have some swelling on the tip and wonder if taping my nose during exercise would be beneficial in controlling any exercise reduced swelling? Thanks!
