Hi , ive had my nose job over a year. Everything went well swelling went i would say completely down i am happy with the result however , i have noticed this for a long time inside my nose i believe where the suture was done on the right side i have noticed that every time my nose runs for a longer period of time and its wet , that area towards the tip of my nose on the inside stings extremely bad , is this a cause of concern , and what causes this? Never noticed bleeding or anything.
I feel really restricted with my face movement, Im afraid to chew in certain ways or even to kiss. I need to fix my teeth but last time I went my dentist was afraid cause I got reflection movement of discomfort. We had to cancel it. It feels like i can take my bone out joint, there is no sound when this happens, it doesnt hurt but it is extremely uncomfortable. I asked my surgeon and he said this is normal. Please tell me if this is normal or not. Im 7 months post op.
Considering a rhinoplasty this year. I understand that surgeons recommend using saline post op. My issue is when I use a saline I become very sneezy and nose becomes itchy on tthe inside (almost allergy type feeling). What can I do to minimize discomfort caused by saline post op? Are there specific types of saline that are better?
I am prone to sinus pain and infection when I fly. I am considering surgeons who are out of state and all of them have told me that it's ok to fly back immediately after stint removal which is 7 days from day of surgery . I am afraid flying may increase my risk of infection and also discomfort. What's the best course of action? How many days do you recommend your out of town patients to stay in town for rhinoplasty? Please provide rationale
Hi! I was looking to see what these bumps on my nose are. The bump on my right side has been on my nose for over three years now. And the other one is starting to grow. Ive already seen a dermatologist, who said that this was cartilage & there was nothing that I could do other than getting a nose job. Id prefer to see an ENT doctor, & will be looking into one soon. The bumps stopped growing, but cause discomfort and they appeared out of nowhere, overnight it seemed to me.
So, Ive been TERRIFIED to go out to the sun because I really dont wanna get those dark spots on my nose. When I do have to go out, I always use sun cream, but I STILL feel very discomfort. I just dont wanna have to worry about it. Its been 5 months, and I am wondering If I can FINALLY not worry about sun exposure and actually not have to wear sun cream? ITS MAKING ME SICK. Thank you.
Back in year 2000, I had a brow lift and dorsal nasal augmentation. After more than a decade, it has been causing me some discomfort. I understand that the nasal implant would inevitability migrate upward and therefore cause some discomfort. I am also experiencing some discomfort on my scalp from what I believe to be the brow lift fixation system. My memory may not serve me well but I believe it involved cortical tunnel fixations. Any help recommendation or insight would be appreciated.
Hi, I am considering undergoing a reconstructive surgery that will entail dorsal onlay grafts to build up the bridge of the nose. How severe is post operative edema, and will the grafts cause significant discomfort inside the nose?
