I had a rhinoplasty 7 months ago. I have had constant pain in the small section behind my two front teeth. I have also noticed the pain increased and is directly connected to how much movement I have had in the tip of my nose. Surgeon said it could be a fungus however I am very certain is it not poor hygiene as again, the level of pain is always there ans increases or decreases with my nose sensitivity. I still have considerable swelling on the right side of my nose.
Its been 7 months since my rhinoplasty and Im not happy with the shape. I wanted my tip to be more upturned but my doctor think my nose is perfect so I dont know what to do. Is it possible to rasp the bridge a bit to make my nose look a bit more sloped? Is the tip to under projected or am I overthinking? I dont know how to feel about the result. My nose at 2 months looked better in my opinion compared to now
This past february I had preservation rhinoplasty, turbinate reduction and tipplasty. 4 months post surgery I developed scabs inside my nose tip which gave off an unpleasant smell. This nasty smell has been recurrent and ENT confirmed skin infection. Was prescribed 10 days of topical and oral antibiotics last month. Went back to ENT yesterday, who confirmed theres still a skin infection, prescribed only topical antibiotic. Smell and scabs come from the incision site. Thoughts?
Hey, Im 7 months post op and have noticed during healing after a septo rhino that my nostrils are very uneven and look strange. I understand that nostril asymmetry can be common but it looks odd to me! Thanks!
Hi everyone, I got a rhinoplasty done January 24, 2024. Fast forward to today (7 months later), August 23, 2024, my nose looks uneven. Im concerned that my nose will continue to look this way. I did get a steroid injection at month 4 since my swelling was pretty bad due to thick skin on the tip. Should I ask my surgeon for another steroid shot? If you see the picture, my right side seems more flat compared to my left. I have 1 year post op to tell him of any issues.. so Id like to get input
Hey so I'm 7 months post op for a rhinoplasty and septoplasty and my sister was goofing around in the car while I was driving and I was yelling at her to sit right because she kept rolling around and putting her feet up and she accidentally kicked me REALLY really hard in the nose while trying to sit up. I felt my nose was about to fall off. now I'm worried like my nose was doing so well now it's kind of swollen and red. I'm so scared like should I call my doctor and let him know or will I be fine. I'm breathing fine but she kicked me really hard. Like basically a blow in the face and she was wearing shoes. It's really swollen and I'm so upset rn. Like is my nose job ruined now.. I need someone to reassure me please I don't want to tell my doctor he will be so mad. This is my nose now it's really swollen is there anything I can do to reduce the swelling I'm just scared i messed up my nose job man.
Im 7 months post primary rhinoplasty. I still have quite a bit of swelling, and my surgeon said he might give me a kenalog injection in 5 months to help with the swelling. However, I just started taking Accutane for my skin and will be on it for 8-12 months. Could I still get the kenalog injection even though Im on Accutane? Would Accutane affect the efficacy or safety of kenalog injections?
Im 7 months PO from a primary rhinoplasty and my main area of concern was my nostrils. I wanted my hanging columella and nostril show reduced but as time goes on I feel like my dr didnt address these issues. Could I have some feedback please? My septum also shows more on one side from a below view and this wasnt previously an issue - why has this happened?
Hello, I had an open rhinoplasty about 7 months ago. I really like the tip but I have a bump on the top part of my nose, on the Bonny part of the bridge which highly bothers me. My surgeon told me that it was my bone and that he didnt remove enough of it during the surgery. He offered me to rasp the bump in his office in a few months under local anesthesia. After reading posts online I am scared that rasping would lead to an open roof deformity. Any advice? I am mostly bothered by the 3/4 side.
