Im 2 weeks post op a closed rhino/septoplasty. I know its VERY early to make any any assumptions, however the tip is a little over rotated when looking straight on. My nostrils never showed before the procedure, and I have a long face as Im 59. How many mms should I expect it to drop?
I had my nose done 12 days ago. I wanted the surgery was because I had a bulbous and droopy tip. The day the cast was removed I didn't like it because it looked crooked. I know that my nose was asymmetrical before the surgery but I assumed that it would be corrected. I have spoken with the doctor since and she says that the crookedness is mainly due to swelling and that after a while it will be much "less noticeable". I'm very sad with the outcome at this point. Will it improve?
I had a Rhinoplasty 2 weeks ago, where the tip was trimmed, the nostrils were narrowed, and nose was set back a little. But it's too subtle and I want it done again. However, I don't want to wait until a year later after the procedure. There is hardly any swelling now. I will see my surgeon in 6 weeks. Can I have another Rhinoplasty sooner than a year? How soon after a Rhinoplasty can revision be done?
My top lip hardly moves when I speak , when I laugh it will cove my top teeth, and when I smile it will only show a bit of my top teeth and look very very odd. Even when I am just sitting with a straight face my top lip looks like I'm pulling it down, I am very upset and I hope this isn't permanent , is this normal? Will my top lip raise to it's usual self? Will my normal smile return , how can I fix this :( help!! I am two weeks post op!
I'm 11 days post op and when I removed my cast I thought my nose looked really ugly and I looked like a pig, but now 3 days after removing my cast, my nose has gotten a little puffier and it looks way better than it did when I removed the cast. I heard when you remove the cast that's what it will look like. Is it because my tip was higher? I hope it ends up looking more like it does 3 days after removing it then before.
At 2 weeks post op rhinoplasty I hit my nose with my hand and it didn't hurt much but for the rest of the night I had a slight throbbing on the side I hit it on which was on the left side of my nasal bone and the next day it was fine but then a 1 month old baby I was holding accidently bumped his head on the right tip of my nose while holding him and again not much pain but a slight throbbing on that side for the rest of the night. Will this affect the end result?
I had rhinoplasty 2.5 weeks ago and right after my splint was removed (6 days post op) my son hit my nose with his head. I went to the doctors office and they said they thought it was fine but there was still post op swelling. Nothin popped or hurt after nor did I have any bruising or bleeding. But my swelling appeared to be uneven and now Im worried that he shifted something. I have a follow up at 4 weeks post op. If he did shift the cartilage can it be moved back without surgery?
Everything else seems to be healing as expected and on schedule. I do have a borderline autoimmune disorder (acts like lupus, but still watching bloodwork to get final differential diagnosis). Should I be concerned? Normal temp for me is 97.5.
Hi, I have a nose piercing already , and I had my rhinoplasty 12 days ago. I'm just wondering when I can put back in my nose ring ? I'd love for the hole not to close, so I can avoid repiercing it. I got my rhinoplasty done at the local hospital because it was problems with breathing, therefore I don't have any contact number of the surgeon who made it, so I can't ask for her advice. so please don't recommend me to ask my surgeon, id love to but it isn't a possibility unfortunately. Thank you
