I recently had a rhinoplasty on 10/5/2017. Ever since then, after the stints were removed, my front teeth have been super sensitive. Especially if I go to rub my nose (due to it itching) or if I accidentally twitch my nose. Its not a pain, its just super sensitive, and I don't know if its also because my top lip couldn't connect to my bottom lip, for about a week and a half after surgery, due to bleeding and drip pads, so the air made them that way or not but wanted to ask to be sure.
It's been 2 weeks and 4 days since I had my new nose but Im too worries if it will change the shape of my nose if I rub it and touch it. Cos ive been touching it a lot, and massaging the tip sometimes. People around me will tell me that there's nothing changed but why do I feel like it changed the shape everytime I look at the mirror. Am I just being too worried and thinking too much that something's change or what?
I've made it a habit to pinch and pull my nose for the past couple of months and I feel like it has altered the original shape to make it wider and longer. Could a professional suggest if this is a distortion I have made by myself or if it's just natural growth and what I can do to fix this?
5 weeks post op. at 3 weeks a lot of my swelling had went down and it seemed like my nose was reaching a pleasant shape and size. however , over the next week and this week , my nose has gotten more swollen. Even bigger than it was before I got surgery. I'm not sure if it's connected to constant sniffling, or excessively rubbing my nose while washing my face , or a sunburn ??
Hi. I have recently been concerned about the septum part of my nose (outside part that's visible). I have tried to press it and rub it upwards and I'm really scared that it may ruin my nose. I haven't done it for a while though, maybe less than 2 or 3 months, and only casually when I'm not doing anything else. Will my nose droop more overtime? Will this affect my nose in any good or bad way?
The cartilage at the tip appears to have fallen or become stretched or loose. You can now see cartilage at the tip where it was never exposed before. This side of the nose now feels much more loose then the other regular side.
I'm interested in having rhinoplasty done on my nose; however, I have severe allergies and at time my nose itches so badly that I rub it vigorously with the palm of my hand. Would doing something like this be a no, no after having rhinoplasty? I'm talking about days, weeks, months after having rhinoplasty. I'm talking years and years later. Will my nose remain easily injured indefinitely?
I had a very traumatic experience after my rhinoplasty. I am healing fine I think, but I am worried about touching and washing my nose. Will I always have to be concerned? I did not plan on feeling this way, but I fear I'll never be able to rub my nose, or touch it the way I used to. I never really knew how much I touched my face/nose until I was told not to. So is It possible to just treat my nose normally again, without always thinking about it? Thanks so much for your time.
