Hello, I had a rhinoplasty done about 6 months ago, and one side of my nose looks completely different than the other side. I dont even know how to describe it without pictures, front view on my nose my nasal bone sticks out more than the other side along with my nostrils on one side. I dont even know what to do, or if nasal rasping will help this weird asymmetry thats happening. My side profile looks different on both sides. Please let me know what is going on here so I can get some clarity.
I had a rhinoplasty 6 months ago. I have a SEG placed and dorsal hump removal. I am wondering if this is pinch tip or notching or from the removal of cartilage as my nose was very bulbous before. Looks like theres a small indent on the top of my nose too on the left side.
I had a closed septorhinoplasty on April 28th, 2023, so I'm almost 6 months post op. I know the swelling takes up to a year or more to subside and really see my results. The nurse told me if I took pictures at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 12 months, it would look different in each picture. I did not take pictures periodically and tried to trust the process. Now at 6 months post op, there is little to NO difference at all since about 2 months post op.
My bridge was lowered and my tip was rotated up from the original position. Im about 6 months post op and Im really disliking how my nose angles down when I smile still. My depressor septi was cut during surgery, so that isnt the cause. Is this due to my facial anatomy/cheek muscles, or is this something that can be fixed? I just want my tip to stay straight when I smile. Id prefer if it didnt move at all to be honest.
Hello, I just had some questions about rhinoplasty healing. My doctor is not great at communicating and usually my question is never answered. As my nose is healing around 6 months or so, I am starting to realize its becoming crooked and I dont know if its because im sleeping on my side. There is a visible bump at the side of my nose where he did an osteotomy, almost like that bone isnt straight. Does the bone itself take time to heal? Can it be straightened out my sleeping on back instead?
So, im basically 6 months post op now and im worried about my swelling on the tip. I dont know if its swelling or if its generally crooked now? It looked dead straight coming out of the cast however I have had a few minor bumps to the nose. Ive always noticed a difference in my rhinoplasty that my right profile always looked different from my left since day one of surgery. However ive never had any previous asymmetry, I know things cant be perfect but help!
I had a rhinoplasty done in March with concerns of bulbous tip and cleft in tip. I do have an area that seems to have excess tissue on one side. At my 6 month follow up the surgeon said hed remove it with an in-office procedure at the year mark if still there. Within the last month (since my last follow up), it looks like theres a cleft in the tip coming back/showing now. Is this likely to go away or will I need another surgery? What couldve gone wrong to still have this?
Hello, I'm 6 months post-op. My young niece bumped her forehead into my nose head on with moderate force. Only the lower third of my nose made contact. My nose was smushed into her forehead if you will. There was no pain, no swelling, no bleeding. I do still have some tenderness a couple of days later. The shape doesn't seem changed either. But I'm worried I might have made my nose tip weaker or displaced cartilage which will show itseffects later on. Is that possible?
I had a rhinoplasty outside the US about 6 months ago. Im concerned with the fullness in my supra tip area. It feels firm at this point so Im concerned that this is my final profile. I have a follow up scheduled with a US surgeon in two months, but in the meantime Im trying not to completely panic. Does this look/seem like something kenalog could resolve, or should I prepare for needing a revision? Any advice would be appreciated. Im having a really hard time.
