I am 2.5 years post op. I only wanted the bottom half of my nose slimmed slightly and my tip lifted, however my nose now clearly dips, is much too small, and I've developed bony calluses near the top of my nose bridge. I did not have a good experience with my surgeon. What are my options now? And is it possible to form calluses like this when my nose was supposedly not broken? I did not want my bridge touched at all. I can tell my nose is still healing as it's swollen and tender.
I have been experiencing a very odd painful (to touch) area on the right side of my nose ever since cast removal. This area has always been very tender, however has gotten better through the months and seems at a standstill now.My other side of my nose feels very solid, no pain, however the side and area circled seems almost slightly more squishy and painful when I press it. I love my nose aesthetically, and have no other problems. But Im wondering if this is a complication?
I swell up anytime I get up or have to go in very early for work, also tip is still tender and swollen after two years since nasal surgery, I was never told about nasal taping or not to wear glases , started taping recently after two years and it seem to be working in reshaping even after two years , is that possible to happen after that long??
I am 51 years old, and have thick, oily skin. I had an open septorhinoplasty six months ago and am concerned that I dont see the change that I expected. My surgeon says that it is healing nicely, and I do trust him, but am still concerned that this may be as good as it will get. I still have tenderness, and when I lie down on my side it feels as though my nose is tipping. When can I expect to see final results, and is it possible for significant change to still occur?
Got my rhinoplasty 6 months ago, still hurts to wear my glasses for longer than 30 mins. I've been trying to ease into it but it's very painful and gives me a headache. My glasses are very light so that's not the issue.
I whacked the end of my nose against a post towards the start of the week, while turning my head. It hurt like **** at the time, but was only slightly tender after 5mins and wasn't sore by the end of the day. No bleeding or noticeable swelling. Family's encouraging me to get it checked out, but I don't know if I could have broken it as described above, or if this matters? My nose doesn't look noticeably different (it wasn't straight before, doesn't look any worse now); I can breathe fine.
I had a rhinoplasty 4 weeks ago and came down with a pretty bad cold/flu as of last night. My nose is quite blocked up and tender, and Im wondering if being sick will increase chances of infection, or if that should be a concern at 4 weeks post-op? Was going to call my surgeon tomorrow to check in, but thought Id try here first to get some opinions. Thanks!
It grew large enough that it was irritating. Instead of seeing a doctor, I kept trying to remove it myself. This past April It finally broke loose. When it was removed it appeared woody and my nose bled a lot. After a few days I realized that the cartilage between the nostril had a hole where the wart had been and the cartilage is loose. My nose does not hurt, but the cartilage near the hole remains tender. Should I see a doctor for repair of this cartilage?
My daughter threw 2 plastic figurines and they hit clipped the bridge of my nose. I have had a lingering headache and it feels like the pain is centered where my nose is. My eyes arent bruised and my nose didnt bleed, it is slightly swollen but no one but me would notice. There is a red mark where it hit and I can barely touch my nose, its so tender. Should I go see my family physician? Is there anything they can do?
