Im supposed to have my rhinoplasty/septoplasty done in less than 3 weeks. All I had was a telephone visit to go over my health history (I live out of state), and thats it. No blood work, ekg, scans, anything required. Im not sure if this is sketchy. The surgeon does work in a hospital. I am 25, no known health conditions. Im also worried because he seems to buy a lot of followers/likes. He is board certified and has good credentials, but idk if these are red flags.
Hello. It has been 6 months since my rhinoplasty and my left nostril still gets irritated easily on a septum side. Today I carried something that was a liitle heavy( nothing too much), and later I found some blood stains on a q-tip and my septum was red and little bloody when I looked inside. Is this something I should be worried about? Why are my blood vessels so fragile? P.S This only happens to my left nostril.
Im around 4 months post op. 25 days ago the inside/top of my nose started bleeding and it hasnt stopped since. Its not heavy bleeding but it is constant, so every few hours when I go to the mirror there is a ball of blood, sometimes mixed with mucus. Then a few days ago I noticed a painless lump. My surgeon is In Turkey. I asked what it could be and they said its normal and not to worry. Can I have a second opinion please? Sorry for the gross pictures
I want to have a rhinoplasty. In the last couple of years I have startet to frequently experience cold hands and feet due to poor blood circulation. This problem has also appeared on my nose. It does not bother be as much as my hands and feet, but I can feel that the nose is cold if I touch it. But I would not know that it was cold if I did not touch it with my fingers. Is it okey to have rhinoplasty?
I just had my rhinoplasty done yesterday and my doctor didn't put in any packing because he said that there was very minimal bleeding and it would make me more comfortable. So because of this, I had quite a bit of discharge and now that the bleeding has stopped, I have a lot of dried up blood inside my nostril. I've read that you can clean with hydrogen peroxide and water but I was wondering if the day after rhinoplasty is too soon to clean it? I don't want to injure anything in my nose...
I had my septorhinoplasty on August 19th. My left nostril has shrunk/ stopped draining blood, my right side has shrunk a little, theres a yellowish elastic (nurse said its the suture) sort of hanging off the side of my nose but it keeps draining blood and forms clots whenever I clean it. She said to keep cleaning it and changing the Gauze until it falls out on its own. Its never drained blood like this before. Is it okay for the nose to do this? called the clinic and thats what they told me.
I woke up this morning with a dry and congested feeling in my nose, I figured I'd gently try to remove the mucus when it is hard as I use certain products my doctor recommended to keep it moist inside my nose and it is impossible to get rid of them using irrigation; they just won't come out that way. I got out a few pieces without any pain or discomfort along with some hair. I do have dissolvable stitches from what doctor told me and I don't think I got anything out that looked like one.
Hello, I had a rhinoplasty three days ago and woke up with a sore throat. My lip was bruised from the breathing tube and when I went home my uvula was swollen, red, and dark. The inside of throat has been bloody and irritated ever since. It still hurts. Is this serious damage? Will it heal? Thank you
Had nasal splint removed after 6 days, but have dried blood/external stitches on nostrils, and also have a pea-size laceration on nose as a result of numbing prior to rhinoplasty (I had rhinoplasty with local anesthesia---no bones were broken). What is the best way to deal with the dried blood, without disturbing stitches on nostrils? and how should I deal with that laceration left from the needle mark on my nose from the needle? Can I cover the laceration with a band-aid, or just let it air-dry?
