Im interested in rhinoplasty but Im very scared because I have history of migraine with aura. When I was researching rhinoplasty it came to my attention that surgeons use vasoconstrictors during rhinoplasty. I also found in literature that this should be avoided in patients with vasospasm. How likely is vision loss after rhinoplasty in patients with vasospasm? And could vasoconstrictors be avoided? Thank you
I injured my nose years ago and now I have a problem with the left side being stuffed up all the time. I have acute sinusitis. Because I am being forced to breath out of the right side alot, I have a lot of pain on that side and get frequent migraines. Do you think the surgery would help with the sinuses and the migraines. I am currently doing the nasal rinse every day, taking Tylenol sinus for pain, using breathe right nasal strips at night, and taking Maxalt for migraines.
I had a revision rhinoplasty that required some ear cartilage be removed and used as a graft in the procedure. I am afraid my doctor took too much cartilage as my ears are visibly asymmetrical (the one that had cartilage removed lays very close to my head, while the other ear sticks out 1). It also feels like there is a big chunk missing that goes right up to where my ear meets my head and I am getting migraines that feel like they are pulsing from that ear. Is this normal? Will it get better?
Hello my nose closes if I breath in with any force around where it joins my cheeks. I think I may have a bit of a deviated septum. Would this be a barrier to a rhinoplasty? Should I consult a NHS doctor is there any help? Miserable with migraines and fatigue probably from this. Only just discovered this isnt a Normal thing! Is this normal??
Hi. When I was a kid, I needed surgery for a blocked airway causing pus leaking from one eye, which my parents declined. I'm 22 and still suffer from sinus issues, nosebleeds and migraines and I'd like to know if a septoplasty could fix that? Would I be eligible? I'd be open to a rhino to fix the aesthetic of my nose too, or would a septo be enough for that as well? I love my side profile but the front of my nose is too large and asymmetric I think. Thanks :)
I had a septoplasty 2 years ago with turbinate reduction. I didnt have problems till about 5 months ago. My snoring is worse than before. Breathing I can feel blockage. Migraines are more frequent and I have post nasal drip quite often now. What options are available with those issues and having a septoplasty 2 years ago now? Would a rhinoplasty possibly help this? Grafts?
I'm hoping to get rhinoplasty soon but I suffer from very bad migraines. Unfortunately, I often have to take ibuprofen and am also taking supplements with magnesium. I'm also trying to come off my anxiety medication. I especially worried that all of this could interfere with anesthesia and cause complications or death since those are my main concerns.
Went to the dr he did an office exam said I have a deviated septum which is the cause for migraines over left eye and sinus pressure in cheeks and back of neck. Ct came back doctor said I have healthy sinuses even though I had a sinus infection 4 weeks ago and avoided the deviated septum question when I brought it back up. He referred me to a Neuro Optometrist. I feel like I am back to square one and am extremely frustrated. Can someone please help guide me.
I have United Healthcare and I have a deep 'nasofrontal angle'. I frequently have miagraines and sometimes find it difficult to breathe. Would I be able to get my insurance to cover me getting the bridge of my nose corrected?
