Last week I fell off a mechanical bull and kneed myself in the nose. It bled for 15 minutes and I was in a lot of pain but I didn't have any crookedness or visible deformity. I had some mild swelling but no bruising or problems breathing so I did not see a doctor. The pain is much better (though the bridge area is still tender to the touch) but two days ago I noticed that whenever I touch the tip or bridge of my nose there is a cracking noise/sensation. Should I get it checked out?
I had rhinoplasty 2.5 weeks ago and right after my splint was removed (6 days post op) my son hit my nose with his head. I went to the doctors office and they said they thought it was fine but there was still post op swelling. Nothin popped or hurt after nor did I have any bruising or bleeding. But my swelling appeared to be uneven and now Im worried that he shifted something. I have a follow up at 4 weeks post op. If he did shift the cartilage can it be moved back without surgery?
11 days post op rhino Ive pretty much stop leaking any blood until I put bactrician zinc in my nose very gently then Ill start bleeding and its always in the same spot from where my internal stitches are, also my nose starts to burn a lil from the ointment. Is it normal to bleed and burn a little from stitches only after the ointment has been applied? Am I allergic to it? My doctor said not to use it if it irrates me but I feel I should have some type of ointment on it to keep it moist in there.
Hi, I had my rhinoplasty done 3 years ago. I remember having profuse bleeding the 4th day after surgery and the doctor told that the healing did not happen properly and packed my nose again. After 3 days he applied silver nitrate on the bleeding site. Every once year I do get mild nose bleeding. Is this cause of the surgery or some other factors such as dry nose etc. Thanks
Only recently did I learn I wasn't supposed to use pore strips or touch my nose much. I massaged the tip of my nose before too not knowing I wasnt supposed to. My main concern is the pore strip I just used which caused swelling and a little bleeding. Have I effected the end result of my nose?
Hi I got my rhinoplasty on April 7th 2018 Im happy with my results. But my only problem is when I turn the air conditioner on my nose gets abit stuffy. When I wake up in the morning I have a stuffy right nostril with a hardened snot with abit if wet blood on it. I am very paranoid I got my nose done in Thailand and it was a very good place Im from Australia so I cant go see the doctor. If you can give me a rough idea what it could be and what I could do maybe to avoid this. Thank you
I was hit in the nose by my friend accidentally. (They went to hi5 another friend, I was sitting between them, the momentum from his hand meant that his hand smacked me right in the tip of my nose) It was harder than a tap, enough to make my stitches bleed (mind you my nose did get infected aroun 1.5 wks post op, I was on antibiotics but most the infection had cleared) Its a bit swollen and hurt for a bit after, Im concerned that Ive damaged my nose I can still touch it with minimal pain
Im planning on getting a nose job, but Ive read that theres a risk of excessive bleeding if the patient is taking blood thinners (such as NSAIDs). I take a dosage of 50mg/day of Galoflam (diclofenac). Would it be possible for me to do the rhinoplasty?
I got a nose job exactly four weeks ago, today I was cleaning my nose and when I got to the inside of the tip I thought I had a booger but it was really like a little skin tag. I kept pulling on it trying to get it out, until I started bleeding. That's when I realized it wasn't a booger. Maybe I'm paranoid, but will it ruin my results? Is it normal to have a tiny piece of skin sticking out?
