I did my nose job 6 years ago. I really liked the front side view was enough long and also good shape owever I always didnt like the half side profile. Tip was bulbous and swallen.I did to cortison injections. After first was happy. Now am month after second one and nose still changes day by day. I fill like I lose my cartilage at the tip. It became too short.Looks really bad. Also made a hole in my skin.I still feel it works after month. If it still will be working can I lose my cartilage?
Hi, last friday I had my official consultation for my upcoming thick-skin rhinoplasty. In the treatment plan it was said that due to the thickness of my dermal layer, to achieve a visible result, crystalline cortisone needs to be injected 12 weeks before the operation and then again after. I read that after crystalline cortisone injctions, the nose becomes impossible to operate on, which my surgon refutes. But I need a second opinion. Will I be unable to revision the rhinoplasty after?
I had a Septo Rhinoplasty performed 8 years ago. Since the surgery, there has been fullness of the supratip that I don't like. The fullness varies where it might be fuller at one point in the day and then it slims out a bit. Is it possible this is scar tissue that could benefit from a cortisone shot this many years after surgery? Can the surgeon determine whether it is scar tissue? Thank you.
One year post rhinoplasty and I still have swelling on my nose tip. I got thick-skin and oily nose. Today my doctor did an cortisone injection for me and wants to see me again in 3 months from now. QUESTION: Is the goal of this injection to accelerate the going down of swelling? or the swelling, or part of it, won't go away without the injection? In other words, if I let it recover naturally, will I have the same result as injecting steroids? Thank you.
I had 2 cortisone injections done on the tip, 1 on the right middle side and one on the top left becomes my nose was extremely swollen. My nose looked crooked since the first day he removed the cast and it still looks crooked now. I also have a dip on the middle side and bumps above the top of the dip. My eyes are still black. Are all these Imperfections normal at this stage? Will my nose get better looking? Did the injection made the dip and now it will permanently be there?
I had closed rhinoplasty a month ago, my skin is thick and oily. Im developing a pollybeak but i'm not a candidate for cortisone (incipient bilateral cataract). Taping seemed to work but I'm afraid it was working better the 1st days. My PS suggested massages only. I'm depressed. Do i have any other options? Hyperbaric therapy? Ultrasound? Thank you!
Hello, I had a close rhinoplasty 8 months now... I'd been patient waiting waiting for it to heal, and hopefully get more refined like how it was first took the casting off. It gotten bigger due swelling I guess. But I'd been notice that I can feel the little silicone sticking out and can see it if I look up my nose. It's where the doctor make the Cut. Would this affect my healing and the way my nose turn out? Do I need to have it cut off or shove it back in? I sometimes do get little leakage.
I'm two months post-rhinoplasty. I was given a cortisone injection a week after the operation and the swelling went way down but a few weeks later my nose got more swollen. I was given another injection at 7 weeks post-rhinoplasty and after only two days the swelling went away and my nose looked amazing but as of a week later it's getting bigger/more swollen again. It still looks pretty good right now but it looked even better before.
Over the past few years, my food allergies have caused my nose to swell. The swelling would subside, but my nose would become slightly larger as a result. After this happening about 6 times now, my nose no longer looks all that aesthetically appealing. Does this disqualify surgery? Cortisol shots??
