So I would like to get radix grafting to vertically lengthen my nose from the front but also would more tip projection. Many other patients want to reduce tip dropping, but I actually want to KEEP my tip drooping so that my philtrum doesn't appear longer after surgery. I am worried that getting cartilage on the tip and bridge will stiffen it up too much. I appreciate any assistance!
I have an upturned nose with slightly wide-set eyes. When I pull the tip down and forward inner corners of the eyes stretch too. If I lengthen my nose and make it straighter, will it stretch them as well, as there is more bone/cartilage but amount of skin is the same? And if not, are there any other ways to pull the skin tighter with rhinoplasty?
Not by derotating it, by actually lengthening it from the base, lowering the subnasale and shortening the philtrum in the process. My nose is too small for my face and it completely ruins my facial harmony, giving me a long philtrum and making my lower third look too big. Lip lift is not an option since i already have full lips and adequate tooth show, plus it wouldn't fix the other issues anyway. Does that kind of procedure exist?
I have a long philtrum and in my opinon, a short nose. The columella is retracted making the philtrum look longer. Is there a way to connect the columella a little lower to make the nose appear longer from the front? Would this also have the benefit of making my nose tip project less? I don't want a lip lift because i have full lips and i think that would make my chin look long especially since my lower third is longer than i like.
I was wondering if there was a procedure that could be done to lengthen the nose-- more specifically, one to lower the subnasale and shorten the philtrum? Can cartilage be added to the septum to do this and shorten the distance between the base of the nose and the top of the lip?
I am an adult male caucasian who has a really short upturned nose with a shallow nasal bridge. I know what needs to be done to fix this since I have done a ton of research but I still haven't been able to find a cause. I am extremely healthy. My mom did not drink any alcohol during pregnancy. I am not lacking in HGH or testosterone, I am 6' tall with a large bone structure and my other facial features are well developed-It's just the nose. All my other family members have well developed noses.
When ear/rib grafts are used in order to lengthen the nose and widen the tip, do they last forever? Or do they need to be replaced in a revision rhinoplasty as the patient ages? Since natural noses drop too with age is there the possibility of the grafts to slip out of place or to loosen and make the nose look irregular or unnatural so that a revision would be needed?
