Hello, I had closed rhinoplasty done on 23 May this year. I am now over 3 weeks post op & have been taking photos every day. I've noticed that my nose looks bigger now than it did when the split & bandages came off. Is this because they were holding the swelling down? It also looked more concave than it does now. Will my nose eventually look more like it did when the bandage came off or will it look more like it does now? I've uploaded photos from post op day 7, 8 & 10 & then week 3 Thanks
I had my stitches, inner splints, and bandage removed on Monday (7 days post op) l. A soon as the bandage came off, my nose immediately started swelling. My doctor told me I need to firmly press on the nose spending my fingers from the top of the bridge outward as if I'm pushing the swelling away from my nose. She showed me how and it HURT. I trust my surgeon so I have been doing it. Do you think it's ok to be doing this? I don't want the results to be impacted or changed.
I was elbowed in the face 10 days ago and received a broken nose and required stitches for a 1cm wound on my nose (external). I need plastic surgery to realign my nose but I am still waiting for the insurance to confirm authorisation for the operation. Do I need to go myself to get the stitches removed or shall I wait until the surgery (which i imagine will be approximately another week). I have taken my nose bandages off too, is this OK?
I know it is still very soon but I am still worried. I underwent rhinoplasty about 11 days ago. I showed my surgeon a picture of exactly what I wanted and I specified I did not want a pointy tip and I didn't want my nose up in the air I wanted it straight, well when my bandages came off it was exactly that. It's not straight and it looks almost fake will it has dropped but not as much as I'd like will it look more natural?
I had a closed rhinoplasty with osteotomies about two weeks ago. Immediately after removing the bandage I noticed a bump on the side where my hump used to be. The doctor advised this was most likely swelling but it has not disapated whatsoever since. It is also slightly painful to touch. Is this bone? My other side is also still very swollen, which I think (hope) is causing it to look a bit asymmetrical.
So 5 days after my rhinoplasty, the same day I got bandages removed, I went bowling. I had no pain afterwards and no actual bleeding or whatever, just the little dripping that you wipe off with a tissue. My nose was kind of vibrating afterwards though. We played 2 games and I used a generally light ball (10 lb I think). I don't know if I'm going crazy but I feel like my nose got droopier after the game? Or is that not even physically possible to happen so quickly, if even at all? Please help
I just had rhinoplasty done that involved getting the tip of my nose raised. I'm European and our noses generally dont have raised tip. Dr recommended lifting it some since throughout yrs he said it will drop more. I did tell him I don't want it to like like a pig's nose either. I just got back from, surgery and was changing out bandage & almost started crying at what I saw. my husb. said its probably the way he has it taped up & it's lifting my nose upward (sweet of him) do you think that a possibility?
