Im interested in rhinoplasty but Im very scared because I have history of migraine with aura. When I was researching rhinoplasty it came to my attention that surgeons use vasoconstrictors during rhinoplasty. I also found in literature that this should be avoided in patients with vasospasm. How likely is vision loss after rhinoplasty in patients with vasospasm? And could vasoconstrictors be avoided? Thank you
Im wondering what risks there are to vision in general when undergoing a rhinoplasty procedure. I had done a bit of research about the risks but information on risks to vision are hard to come by.Im worried about risks to my job if my vision could be affected. Are there instances where blindness has occurred? How often? Are there ways to minimize the risks and what are they? What can I ask my doctor to feel confident moving forward with booking?
I have a retinal hole in one eye, not in the macula so it does not affect my vision. I have not had any treatments to seal the hole, but have been advised to monitor and to avoid things which may increase eye pressure (eg lifting heavy weights) as this can cause the hole to tear. I would like to know if having a rhinoplasty procedure can increase the pressure in the eye or cause a retinal tear or detachment?
I picked the top of my nose and after I did that there was this strange feeling that something moved /popped out of place? Ever since then I can see the tip of my nose constantly in my vision. I think I moved the lower literal cartilage when I was picking / cleaning. Can this ever be fixed? It's really awful seeing my tip of my nose in my vision.
I had a rhinoplasty 10 months back. I had a bump removed and nose reduced in size. Ever since the surgery my left size has been healing nicely and left side has been giving me issues. The vision in right eye has also gotten bad. I was being patient and hoping it would go away but it hasn't. So my question to the doctors is that, can rhinoplasty change your vision. What could be going on? And what should I do?
Hi, I live in the UK, and for the past 2 years I have seen my nose as two shadows in my vision. Some others I have talked to with fairly small noses cannot see theirs, so I was wondering, is this an issue that can be fixed through rhinoplasty or no?
I had Rhinoplasty + septoplasty 21 days ago. After he removed the bandage (7th day) he put brown bandages. At 12th needed glasses to see(university). But I noticed that, glass makes depression on nose, and first depression went away in 2 days. I have myopia, cannot see far, I am med student, and I need to catch slides. Now (21th day), I used glass for 6 hours, and made a huge depression. Cannot wear lens. Should I go myopia operation? New LASIK surgery? I cannot see and help for depression?
