I had a closed rhinoplasty about 23 years ago. I am 46 now. Through time the right tip has moved with gravity I assume. Because it was very symmetrical up until about 10 years ago and I slowly noticed changes. I love the rest of it. Its not perfect but Im ok with that. I just would like that one area reduced if thats even possible. Its definitely cartilage as I can move it and its quite pointy from certain angles, sure to get more prominent with aging.
In December I was thrown face first to concrete in a domestic assault. My nose was completely fractured in many spots, very deviated, and cut on the right side. I had a reconstruction done. But I hate my nose, and it is still in pain. I want the nose I used to have back. I would like my tip to be back to refined, my bridge fixed(skinnier and not crooked), and my nostrils not protruding. By my left eye there is a dent that hurts. Pictures = before, during, after reconstruction(now), wanted photoshop
I'm looking into getting a rhinoplasty & my main concern is how long my nose is. I don't have a bump and my tip is already naturally quite upturned. It's the bridge of my nose that is so long and It really is what bothers me. Is there anyway that the nose can be shortened vertically without rotating the tip? I have yet to see any before and afters that show patients who are similar to my nose and them successfully being able to reduce the length without touching the tip. Ty!!
I would like to add a little more tip to the front of my nose. Is this a realistic / achievable goal? How long does it typically take to heal from a closed tip grafting surgery?
One of older surgeons in NYC who is trained only in closed approach said it's possible to achieve desired results with closed approach while two other younger surgeons said it's not possible. I really need help selecting a surgeon. Please see attached pic. This is what I expect from my Rhino- 1) Deprojected tip/ reduced length 2) Tip upward rotated 3) Radix taken in and positioned right 4) reduce width/ aesthetic dorsal lines 5) Supratip break 6) Apt Naso- labial angle
Hello. I had surgery to fix a broken nose that happened years ago. I am still experiencing some fluctuating swelling especially in the tip and its more noticeable first thing in the morning, and when I exercise. It even feels weird sometimes in morning and while working out. There are points when I like the way it looks, but like I mentioned it fluctuated. I am coming up on 2 years post op this august and am wondering if this is normal and if the swelling and weird feelings will go away. Thx!
Pictures attached, sorry theyre low quality. Im a trans guy on testosterone right now and my skin has been much more oily than usual (Ive been having acne problems). Other than that, theres been nothing else unusual going on. Never had a rhinoplasty. Could this be a sign of something serious? Or just a natural development (possibly from testosterone changes? Is there anything I can do to make this mark go away?
