I had rhinoplasty done in 2019, and after that, my swelling had reduced a lot by mid-2020. Now, when I sleep, there is congestion in my nose, and it blocks my nose, due to which my swelling is increasing. If I do not sleep for 2 days, the swelling will start decreasing, but if I sleep, the swelling will increase the next day. And earlier, when I used to wake up from sleep, I used to notice less swelling. I feel very bad seeing my face, and I stay at home; I don't even go out. I feel SAD.
Hi I had a septorhinoplasty done at the end of May its been 6 months now and my breathing is worst then it was before, when I first did my consultation I told him I needed my breathing fixed and just wanted the hump I had taken down a little nothing else after surgery I was told he refined the tip, it now looks pointy to me and doesnt match my round face shape hat should I do? Im trying not to freak out but I feel I might have to get a revision because I wasnt listened to.
I got a hard head bump on the tip of my nose 1 month post op & it swelled a lot. I thought it would heal fine but my nose doesnt look like the picture on the OR table or when I took the cast off....
I had rhinoplasty about 18 months ago to straighten my nose and minor hump reduction. I was initially happy with the results but around 9 months postop I noticed redness / Telangiectasia that seems to have slowly gotten worse. I also noticed a small notch that I hadn't noticed before. My doctor tried filler for the notch and lazer for the red mark. Neither have worked. Do I have any other options? Is revision an option or would it make it worse?
Had rhinoplasty 3 weeks ago to reduce a dorsal hump and raise my nose tip. I know swelling can distort the results and last a long time, however, what I'm seeing doesn't seem like swelling. The bridge of my nose is higher than it was before, and the area above where the hump used to be is now raised, and looks like a bump from certain angles. This bump and the entire bridge of my nose, is rock hard like bone. Doesn't feel swollen at all. Why is it like this?
I've seen so many versions of my nose is the last 9 weeks, but I liked it best wk 4, does it get worse before it gets better? I'd like to understand a few things: 1. What criteria do surgeons assess if swelling is still present? 2. What is occurring within and beneath the skin that causes the nose to shapeshift during the first 3-4 months? 3. Is it common to see the shape of the old nose, sometimes bigger, in situations of large reduction to tip as the skin settles over the new structure? Why?
Hi Ive had a septorhinoplasty 6 months ago, my main concern was the tip however it looks like the tip has gotten worse and has a weird dent in the middle. What can be causing this, is it likely to be swelling ?
What is going on with the left side of my nose (right side in pics). It seems to be caving in and taking on a scooped out look. volume loss? Valve collapse? No trauma as far as I know, and Ive never had previous rhinoplasty. Its been slowly getting worse for the past 2 years or so. I was diagnosed with a deviated septum 10 years ago. Breathing isnt a huge issue, although when I first wake up I cant breathe out of the left nostril. Can this be fixed?
