I think I have sinus issues as a result of the asymmetry as well, always have seemed to have congestion and post nasal dripping on left side only. Cosmetically I have always hated my nose shape and size for my overall face, as well as how crooked it is. Would there be a way to improve both functional and cosmetic issues at the same time, and would it be a very complicated and costly rhinoplasty?
I'm a 27F who is looking to get a septorhinoplasty. I haven't given much thought to what I want to do besides eliminate the bump and raise the tip. I do think the front view of my nose is rather bulbous and undefined, but I suspect I may have thick skin, so I'm not sure how attainable changes would be. In terms of functional issues, I have a deviated septum and have dealt with chronic post nasal drip my entire adult life that I'm hoping can be improved with the septoplasty. Could it help?
I took this picture on my phone the other day and noticed one nostril is shaped differently than the other. I've had a pretty severe post nasal drip and was wondering if this could be a reason. I'm considering a consult with a doctor for surgery if this cold be the reason for my issues.
I had a septoplasty 2 years ago with turbinate reduction. I didnt have problems till about 5 months ago. My snoring is worse than before. Breathing I can feel blockage. Migraines are more frequent and I have post nasal drip quite often now. What options are available with those issues and having a septoplasty 2 years ago now? Would a rhinoplasty possibly help this? Grafts?
... In general my nose seems off-Centre towards the side where the cartilage sticks out. I also suffer from rhinitis which causes sinusitis frequently + am always sniffing/blowing my nose, allergy pill/nasal spray seems to make no difference. Could the misalignment be causing the nasal drip, or be caused by the rhinitis? Could surgery help either problem + what would be done? Aesthetically I would also prefer a thinner, less bulbous tip.
I am 5 days PO for my rhinoplasty. The nose discomfort is almost nonexistent. But the sore throat is terrible. At first I thought it was the direct inflammation from traumatic suctioning of blood during surgery. The back of my throat looked like raw hamburger meat. But the throat now looks just slightly inflamed and not disfigured looking. I am starting to think this is now just a postnasal drip. Any ideas? If this is postnasal drip (surgical drainage), how long does this usually last.
I visually dont like the shape of my noseit was cute when I was growing up, but slowly began to grow longer and droop. Ive also had trouble breathing for yearsI had my tonsils and adenoids removed when I was 3 and despite being on allergy medicine year round, I always have post nasal drip and a stuffy nose. Id really like to improve the structure and function of my noseIm hoping a rhinoplasty would help. Ive never seen an ENT. Also wondering what else would balance my face. Thanks!
