I'm Hispanic and of medium skin color. I had a rhinoplasty about 9 months ago. The summer heat recently started and I noticed my nose started getting splotchy, while the rest of my face hasn't. Is this normal? Should I be worried about an infection or necrosis or is the skin still sensitive to the sun? Would appreciate help on this.
I had cosmetic rhinoplasty in feb 2024 - currently 9 months post of. Noticed very asymmetrical on bridge of nose/definition of nostrils as one side is clearly more defined than the other. 1st pic is pre op, 2nd & 3rd photo are 9 months post op. Surgeon recommended a cream as I have thick skin on tip but it hasnt helped the shape. Is this scar tissue, cartilage etc please help and if revision will be needed?
I had a bump removed via closed surgery and ive been feeling a pressure like sensation around my nose mostly on the upper part of the tip. This has been going on for 2 months now but my doctor brushed it off and said that its normal. Is it normal? Could it be a sign of nose collapsing? Also i have never hit my nose
Hi, this month I will be 9 months post op of a rhinoplasty. My swelling is still pretty severe, and 12 days ago my surgeon gave me a tiny amount of steroid injection. He also told me to massage the nose, which I've been doing and putting a considerable amount of pressure on. It doesn't hurt at all, but I notice that whenever I do massage it it gets more swollen for 1/2 days. At 9 months how strong is the nose, and can cartilage or anything like that still shift and ruin my results?
I am a 37 y/o women who had a rhinoplasty in July of 2023. In the beginning, about a month after I had an infection and was treated with antibiotics. After everything was good and I was in love with the shape of my new nose. However, within last few months I realized that the tip dropped and it changed its shape. Plus, it has been two days I feel pulsing near the sides of my nose. You can actually see how the muscles contracts. Do I have chances that the will still change. Ils there swelling?
Im 9 months post op and one of my nostrils is more oval and longer than the other, it sits higher on my face as well. Whilst the other one is circular and lower on my face. I dont know what to do with myself, I feel so regretful that its my fault. I did this to myself from picking my nose too much or something. Im so scared I hindered my results as Im a chronic nose picker.
Whenever I cry or Im sick my left nostril gets so blocked up with mucus, it doesnt flow like it used to before it just stays clogged and concentrated near my septum . Im confused on whether or not this is normal or is this due to swelling from internal nasal passages thats making it this way? Im 9 months post op and my left nostril is so so swollen it looks like how it does from 2 months post op at best.
I had the operation for medical and esthetic purpose, I specifically ask for a curvy side/tip projection. Love the results until the 5 month when a bump appear, my doc told me to not worried and it would go away, I massage and tape it but now my tip projection is non-existent and my nose is not even similar to the simulation pics, should i be worried or swelling after 9 month can be that strong? I feel uneasy and even people confirmed to me that my nose look big compared to what I ask.
It's been 9 months since my rhinoplasty and I have had a bump on the side of my nose which I noticed 2 months post op and was advised to wait and see how it goes. I had my surgery overseas so based on photos my surgeon said he thinks it could be the lateral end of her tip cartilage buckling. Do you think it will settle down or has too much time passed? Is it also normal that my nose seems to thin (with the defined lines) and then stops- is this still swelling between my eyes? Thank you
Ive had a deep dent on one nostril for several months now (currently 9months post op). I thought the other side was just swollen but it hasnt gone down and even the swollen side looks better. The dent is more obvious under a light where it creates an obvious shadow. Also, tip is looking slightly droopy and pointy. Is that just swelling? Looks different than the few months post op.
