I am a bariatric patient maintaining at my goal weight over 10 stone loss and healthy BMI. I have a fair amount of loose skin and I wanting procedures to done, arm lift, tummy tuck, back lift and breast lift with implants. And for ages I have wanted a rhinoplasty! I am at the start of my research unsure on what to have done first. The rhinoplasty will be with one surgeon and body makeover with another over multiple surgeries. In your opinions what order would you do them? Thank you
I have a good bit of excess caudal septal cartilage at the base of my nose. This forces my philtrum to protrude and creates a very obtuse nasolabial angle. If this is corrected, how can the skin be addressed? Will it be sutured up and back into place? I'm afraid that I skin will remain loose and hang. I have no interest in changing my whole nose, just the columellar area and lip where it protrudes.
7mths post op primary rhinoplasty to correct old fractures & a deviated septum, narrow nasal bridge, remove a dorsal hump & reduce the tip. Immediately I noticed that my nasal bridge appeared wider, not narrower, and there were two lumps of bone on each side of the top of the nasal bridge. 5-6m post op= dent, shadow, squishy sides of nose, skin loose. Options? Am nervous about 2nd surgery. Surgeon offered revision with goretex. What can be done immediately?
I like sculpted noses ..worried to go through a nose surgery and get a nose with loose skin..with poor structures .. any extra material or special tools should be used to avoid that problem.. adding to skilled doctor! Attached one actress quite similar to my nose and she got a perfect nose .. need opinionplz
I had a rhinoplasty 1 year and 3 months ago, I have thick skin and according to my surgeon my hump was reduced, my tip narrowed. Now that my nose has healed the skin on my nose doesnt sit on the underlying framework, I can literally tug on the nasal skin on my tip area and when i press it down it looks so much better as it wraps around the framework. Is this swelling? do I need a revision? Also I experience swelling fluctuation does this mean my nose hasnt healed even though its past a year?
I see some ps does this. My skin is very loose on upper nose since ps carved bone too small. I'm trying to figure out best options. Seems like pinching skin between eyes helps nose skin looseness. If skin was cut off then maybe the whole nose would not need so much building wider and larger and it feels it helps detached cartilages.I dont mind small scar there. I have seen reconstructive facial surgery pictures and scars do not seem to be that bad. Makeup can be applied.
It's already been over a year since my surgery. The doctor said that nothing was wrong, but I still feel as if the skin around my eyes have gotten looser. Even when I do get enough sleep some people say that I look like I got punched or that I look tired. This worries me because it's already been a year and I don't want to look like this forever. I'm only 19. What can I do to solve this?
I had my rhinoplasty procedure 10 days ago. I experienced severe swelling around my eyes which peaked at 72 hours. The skin around my eyes is currently discolored and there is no swelling. However I have noticed that the skin is very loose around the eyes, I now have permanent crows feet. I am in my early twenties and didn't have wrinkles prior to surgery. Is this side effect permanent, are there supplements/ creams I can use to speed up the healing process? Will the skin eventually tighten?
