A small metal door from a dog cage fell onto the bridge of my nose about a week ago. My rhinoplasty was 1.5 years ago. I now have a small amount of swelling to the bridge of my nose that I can only see when I look at my nose from the side. When I press on the swelling, it does not hurt but it does feel hard. Should I be concerned that I have fractured my nose or damaged my rhinoplasty results? I did have some bruising but no bleeding or pain. No pain with movement or manipulation.
I am 1.5 year out of male rhinoplasty and still have significant tip swelling. My doctor assures me that this sometimes occurs, and is offering steroid injections every 2 months of which I have already had 7. I am recommended for more. Are there any adverse effects to consider given the amount of steroid injections I require...and is there a maximum number that can be given or a time frame after which none would be recommended?
I had a rhino plasty 17 months ago. The goal was to get rid of the dorsel hump. I liked my straight on appearance before now I cant stand it. Seems huge and blobby now. My surgeon just started doing the injections 2 months ago. Did he wait too long to get started and is there now permanent scar tissue making my nasel tip permanently fat for life? Ive had two injections so far and not seeing any signs of it it reducing. Is there hope of it finally going back to normal the way it was before?
Hi! Almost two years ago I've had a rhinoplasty to remove a dorsal hump and refine the shape of my nose, but I dont know about the results. While my dorsal hump was successfully removed, I feel like the visual weight of my nose was transferred to the tip, making it look huge and witchy. Is my nose still swollen or is it going to stay like this? What should I do?
I had a Tip plasty done 17 months ago. To this day my nose still feels stiff, it does not hurt, but feels like its swollen. I went to see my doctor 2 months ago and he said everything seem fine and all was normal, but now I can see a bump on my left supratip. I also wanted to add, I got pregnant 4 months after getting the procedure done. Is this all normal? Would a steroid shot help?
I had a rhinoplasty done 18moths ago, no complications just had steroid shots injected into the tip though. I fly from Australia to London (23hrs) in 3 weeks, should I be taping my nose to reduce swelling for the duration of the flight?
I had rhinoplasty 18 months ago. I started noticing diagonal lines on my nose. I sent pics to my surgeon, and they said despite using spreader grafts, it looks like the middle portion thinned out/contracted more than expected, or the bones thickened slightly or didn't move inward as much as expected. I was offered filler. Is it likely to worsen over time, and is filler the best option for my situation?
Had surgery 18 months ago. Apparently I have thick skin. Nose looks ok from one side but from the other it looks witchy it seems like its swelling in photos but it hasnt gone down at all i press it and its hard. I want to know if this is final result or if there actually is still swelling, just want honest answer.
I am 1.5 years post op with super thin skin after a closed rhinoplasty and when its a tad colder inside or when im outside the tip of nose gets so cold and red and purple. The quality of the skin seems to be so bad, my skin also blanches where cartilage bumps are and sometimes i get a small scab in the middle. Is this something to be worried about? Thanls in advance
