Hey so I'm 7 months post op for a rhinoplasty and septoplasty and my sister was goofing around in the car while I was driving and I was yelling at her to sit right because she kept rolling around and putting her feet up and she accidentally kicked me REALLY really hard in the nose while trying to sit up. I felt my nose was about to fall off. now I'm worried like my nose was doing so well now it's kind of swollen and red. I'm so scared like should I call my doctor and let him know or will I be fine. I'm breathing fine but she kicked me really hard. Like basically a blow in the face and she was wearing shoes. It's really swollen and I'm so upset rn. Like is my nose job ruined now.. I need someone to reassure me please I don't want to tell my doctor he will be so mad. This is my nose now it's really swollen is there anything I can do to reduce the swelling I'm just scared i messed up my nose job man.
Hello! I had a closed rhinoplasty nine (almost 10) months ago. One side of my tip is still very swollen. Today and two days ago, I accidentally touched the tip of my nose a bit harsher than usual (it was so light you can't even call it hit) and I felt a weak pain. My nose didn't become red or more swollen. Neither does it still hurt. And the appearance of my nose didn't change. I'm still very afraid I could have caused any damage. Is it possible to still cause damage? Thank you!
I had a rhinoplasty in 2019 and a hard nose hit in 2020. Since then, it feels like there are rods along the sides of my nose where the muscles are, I can't move my nasal muscles without experiencing significant resistance, and there is a popping noise when I blink or scrunch my nose around the eye. I have also noticed that when I push my nose from the sides, the blocked feeling completely resolves for 5-15 seconds. Could cartilage grafts become dislodged and interfere with muscle? Thanks
My 2 year old accidentally hit the bridge of my nose with a wooden toy hard enough to cause a cut and a little bump, but no nosebleed, a day ago. I am 4 years post septorhinoplasty and although I know I am in the very early healing of this injury I am terrified that it may have messed up my nose cosmetically and am scarred by many years of dealing with a crooked nose before finally having it fixed. My surgeon has since retired so I dont have him to go to currently.
I was hit by a vehicle as a child and have suffered from facial asymmetry as Ive gotten older. I notice one side of my nose has a bump and the other side is flat. Im not sure if this is some type of scar tissue or cartilage issue. Can it be corrected with closed rhinoplasty if it isnt scar tissue? I had septoplasty earlier this year for breathing issues but the bump has been here since college.
Hi! I had a rhinoplasty done in 2017. Almost 3 weeks ago (Saturday will be 3 weeks) I was elbowed under my nose. It bled for about 15 minutes (not gushing but some blood) and I never had any pain. Everyone I asked says my nose looks the same. I notice that under my nose and the tip looks a little swollen. Could I have broken something? I also have a little bit on tingling but not sure if Im talking it into myself. Im very nervous. Is it normal to still be a little swollen this long after?
What happens if my nose tip gets pressed down too much due to it getting hit? I had goretex rhinoplasty 3 years ago and my nose tip is hard. I was just wondering if it gets hit, will it damage my nose tip? Thank you!
I had a Rhino one year and 3 months ago and ,although my tip is still quite swollen, the rest of my nose seems to have healed pretty well. About two months ago, I was at the Supermarket and hit my nose with a refrigerator door while opening it. Quite hard. My nose was quite sore throughout the day and red, and now more than two months later I have a pretty big bump on its side. Wondering if it could still be swelling or something more permanent? Should I be worried?
I didnt bleed and I didnt feel pain, but I got a pretty big scratch on exterior of nose near the tip(Probably caused by my glasses which broke) . I had my rhinoplasty 10 months ago and Im just wondering if I messed up the tip cartilages or the support that was added to fix my droopy tip during rhinoplasty. I noticed that the tip is now dropping a bit more after the trauma. 1st photo is before injury, the rest are after.
Hello. I was hit directly in the bridge of my nose with a small hard object extremely hard 6 months ago. My nose instantly got huge and higher and wider. I did not have a nose bleed, and no visible bruising. X-rays showed no sign of a break. My nose is still significantly different in size. I am desperate for answers. The pictures are all in the same order Before & After. I do not understand why my nose is not going back to pre injury size.please help
