Im 30 years old and have had texturized silicone breast implants for 12 years, to fix a severe tuberous breast deformity. My mom died of breast cancer and I do not longer want to have these implants inside of me due to health concerns. The doctor I saw wants to make two separate surgeries, one for removal with the capsule. And a second one in six months for fat transfer. I want to ask if this is normal or can it be done in one surgery? I feel uncomfortable going through two surgeries
42 year old mum of three having surgery in July. Staying in overnight but when I asked how long I need off work and will be unable to drive, the Dr said a week off work and driving but if off my painkillers I can drive in three days. This seems very quick to me? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance
6 months ago I had 20-yr old large implants removed and a lift. I noticed my skin stretching slightly off of my sternum after getting the original implants but since they have been removed, its obviously much. I am a bit surprised that my surgeon didnt address this recently during the X plant and lift. She did mention things like dermal matrixes, or the only way to fix it would be new implants, but seems reluctant to address it. I need a second opinion but not sure where to start.
I had breast augmentation 15 years ago with saline implants; left implant was replaced with silicone 8 years ago due to capsular contracture. Both implants (430cc saline, 445cc silicone) will be removed soon, with fat transfer (150cc per breast) without capsulectomy. Initially flat-chested at 150lbs during my first surgery, 34D/36D at 165lbs after the left implant replacement surgery; now 225lbs, wearing 42DDD/E. Hoping for full C cups post explant? Is this realistic or should I expect smaller?
Is there any reason I need to ensure all of the capsule is removed, or only capsule particles that appear calcified or thickened? Are there any studies on future complications from leaving any capsule in the breast during explant? Thank you for your insight.
I had a breast augmentation surgery 8 years ago (350 cc) and I would like to remove it now. I want to know if my breasts will look saggy after the removal? Or is it a different story from one person to another? If I had to do the breast lift, will the doctor be able to avoid using the lollipop technique ? Meaning that, can the incesion be done only on the nipples to avoid scars? I would really like to remove the implant but would like to avoid scars as much as possible. Thank you in advan
I have had my silicone breast implants for over 5 years and have made the decision to have them removed rather than the MRI monitoring for rupture. I have had a child and successfully breastfed during the time of having my implants. I would like to try to have another child. How soon after removal can I start fertility treatment? Also, would the removal impact breast feeding? Thank you, NGS
I had 275cc dual plane BA nearly 6 weeks ago. I haven't liked them since day 1. My surgeon will remove them at the 3 month mark but not b4 to give me a chance to get used to them and because he said its best not to have another GA before this time. I hate them, it wasnt the reaction I thought I would have. They are a lot bigger on my petite athletic frame than what i wanted. I am hoping to be able to get back to my original look, is there any reason why they would look smaller than before?
