Breast implant removal 8 days ago. Right breast is considerably smaller and a weird shape. Am I deformed permanently? Breasts where symmetrical pre-implant. Surgeon said implant removal on right breast was 'very difficult' as capsule was completely stuck, he couldn't even remove it all. I can feel fluid on right breast when I get out of bed. Do I need breast revision?
Im 2 weeks post op from breast augmentation i noticed 2 holes with thick yellow fluid coming out a day after my stiches were taking out. Will these holes heal by itself? Or do i have to get my implants removed? I dont have any syntoms of infection such as fever, pus ,bloody fluid or pain.
I had reaugmentation nearly 3 years ago, no problems. 5 days a( 1tarted with pain and swelling left breast, with a slight fever. 1 day later a small pinhole appeared on inner side L.breast which was leaking excessive liquid(slight yellow tinge). A&E diagnosed infection and started IV antibiotics. US showed implant intact with small amount fluid around it. Pain and swelling settling. all antibiotics finished. this started 18.8.24 and is still leaking small amounts of fluid intermitt most day
My drains were removed 5 days ago, as they were collecting very little fluid. However, the area near the site where the drain was is a little puffy and I'm wondering if it could be trapped fluid. What happens to residual fluid after the drains are out?
I think I may have a small amount of fluid in my left breast 8 weeks post breast implant explantation. I have seen my surgeon several times and he never expressed any concern and there is no pain or discomfort at all. I only noticed my left breast feels a bit watery and if I hold it in just a certain way, I can get a little wave in my skin by poking it. What will happen if I just leave it alone, continue with my massage and red light therapy and nothing else? Thank you
I explanted my smooth mentor implants due to capsular contracture in my right breast. The capsules were left behind. The one that had capsular contracture is thick. I had a seroma in my right breast a few weeks later that was emptied under surgery. My surgeon says that the fluid has been tested negative for BIA-ALCL. Is this enough to rule out that it could be this rare cancer? Or do you have to test the capsule as well? The reason Im asking is because I still have pain and its been a year.
Im having a total capsulectomy and bilateral implant removal done next week. My friend told me her drains collected fluid, blood and tissue when she had hers removed. I was wondering what the leftover tissue is that the drain removes? She described it as white, thin and stringy. Is it left over from the capsule? Confused because she got a total capsulectomy and her surgeon confirmed he was able to remove it all.
I have had 4 MRIs over the past 9 years to check for rupture to my Allergen textured silicone implants which are 22 years old. A small amount of fluid (8 x 40 mm) has been detected to posterior of the left implant which has mildly increased in the 3 year period between most recent MRI and one performed in 2018. Radiologist report states that the location of the fluid means it is not amenable to image guided aspiration. No ruptures or other symptoms with implants. Should I have implants removed?
I had saline implants removed without capsulectomy five months ago but the seroma on my right breast still not completely go away. The left side is normal. I have fluid aspiration 6 times already. The amount of fluid is from 100cc, 60, 40, 30, 20, 10. I still feel the lump/hardness when the fluid is down to 10 cc. I need your professional advises. Please help.
