4 different consults: 1. Do implant removal under local with no drains then lift at a later time. 2. Go under and do explant, leaving capsules, with drains, and lift later. 3. Capsules must come out. Do capsulectomy then do a lift 6 months later. (this DR sited risk of infection as a reason to wait on the lift) 4. Do Capsulectomy and lift at the same time. This makes it really hard to pick a DR because they all say different things. I'm willing to travel to surrounding states of FL.
Is it possible to avoid seromas without using drains for this simple procedure? Does the surgeon need to use a special technique to prevent seromas? What is the likelihood of a seroma forming if drains are not used?
Hello, As far as infection control is concerned, is it safe to have implants removed in an office setting vs a room designed for surgeries? I am considering having my implants removed In office under local anesthesia. My only concern is infection in a office setting versus in a sterile setting.
Hello. I thinking to do my breast implants removal without replacement of a new implants next year with lift. I have done three surgeries before in 2019/2022 under general anaesthesia. However, surgeons told me it will be perform under local anaesthesia which I've never tried before. I am Constantly worrying about death during the surgery next year. It been 2years now I am worried about death/coma or won't wake up. I am very worried something will go wrong.Which anaesthesia is safe? I smoke too
Hi. It been nearly two years now. I have death on my mind. I am very worried I'm going to die or be in a coma during or after my breast implants removal with lift. What should I do?i never tried local anesthesia but only general anesthesia before. Are these the same? Can I die especially when I have alcoholic liver damage! And smoke too? (Since February 2023) . Please yes or no answer with good simple English explanation thanks.
Hello For breast implant removal under local using Matcain, how is an accidental intravascular injection avoided? Seems like the consequence of that could be very bad. I want my implants out and am scheduled but fear I shouldnt have read anything on the internet.
Two weeks post op, recovery going better than I ever expected, healing nicely but both incision scars under my breast are not smooth...just a bit fleshy/puffy the whole length of scar. What possibly caused this result? Thank you, for taking my question.
I had my implants done in 2017 when I was young & just wanted to look great. Now that I'm older and more aware of the risks, I am absolutely terrified to have another surgery. It's the anesthesia that's bothering me, I'm afraid of going under. Is it possible to do an explant with local anesthesia or does it have to be general anesthesia?
How long after doing a simple explant (local anaesthesia only) can I do breath/lung workout exercises for lung capacity and strength? Exercises targetted towards singers. I usually feel these exercises the most in my back and lower parts of my rib cage. But I imagine the pectoral muscles may get involved too. Thank you!
