4 different consults: 1. Do implant removal under local with no drains then lift at a later time. 2. Go under and do explant, leaving capsules, with drains, and lift later. 3. Capsules must come out. Do capsulectomy then do a lift 6 months later. (this DR sited risk of infection as a reason to wait on the lift) 4. Do Capsulectomy and lift at the same time. This makes it really hard to pick a DR because they all say different things. I'm willing to travel to surrounding states of FL.
Hello. I thinking to do my breast implants removal without replacement of a new implants next year with lift. I have done three surgeries before in 2019/2022 under general anaesthesia. However, surgeons told me it will be perform under local anaesthesia which I've never tried before. I am Constantly worrying about death during the surgery next year. It been 2years now I am worried about death/coma or won't wake up. I am very worried something will go wrong.Which anaesthesia is safe? I smoke too
I am scheduled to have my implants removed at the end of October . My surgeon said she can remove my implants and preform a capsulotomy under local. Is this typically advisable under local? I understand a capsulectomy must be done under general but wasn't sure about capsulotomy. Also is s capsulectomy needed? One of my breast is very soft the other fairly firm but no real pain
I suffered from silicone poisoning after getting silicone implants. My Dr left the capsules in after taking out the implants. I'm wondering if I have to worry about left over silicone or if it was all removed. My Physician was awesome and performed the whole thing under local anesthesia with no IV sedation.
I have 13 year old implants. Right breast had a painful capsule since the very beginning. 1 month ago that right implant popped and thankfully no more pain. I am looking to remove implants and do a full lift (anchor). I have visited several doctors and one doctor will do under local anesthesia and sedation with no drains. Is this common?? I like that the recover will be faster than general anesthesia and no drains but I also want the safest option.
I had my 305cc textured gummy implants placed under the muscle almost 10 years ago in 2014. So far I don't have any complications or capsular contracture symptoms. I no longer want to have implants inside me. My question is can it be done under local or local with iv sedation? I don't particularly want to go under general anesthesia if possible. Thank you so much for your feedback in advance.
