I had breast implants via the dual plane technique for 3 years. I explanted and the surgeon advised that he secured the pec muscle back to its natural position with sutures. Animation deformity and chest muscle tightness was an issue whilst I had the implants and this has persisted after removal. I've searched endlessly and have found information about the mechanics of animation deformity with implants but I can't find any information about what is occuring anatomically post explant.
I have my implants removed after 4 weeks, it was a huge mistake. My question is,how big of a chance is that I might develop the animation deformity after the removal? Can it happen even though I had them only for a month? They were placed under a muscle, 350cc.I was 34A pre-op, never been a gym enthusiast.I noticed many people develop it even 6 months post-op.Does staying away from the gym for longer after the surgery helps to prevent it too?Im afraid of any side effects, I loved my boobs before.
Implants for 4 months and then had them removed. It has been 6 months and I have animation deformity. My PS said he reattached the muscle but from his notes it looks like he just put a couple of sutures in. What are my options for muscle repair and how successful does it tend to be? Are there significant risks with muscle reattachment?
It's been a nightmare. They haven't healed well. I have nerve damage where the bottom half of the breasts are just a numb pine and needles sensation anytime they're touched and my nipples are painfully overly sensitive. In addition to that just recently I've noticed they look completely deformed when I lay down. I could barely afford my BA surgery so I definitely can't afford a revision nor do I really want one. I WANT THEM OUT. what can I do.
I Got My BA not long ago and soon realised i want my implants out (205 ccs, started from almost nothing). What worries me regarding explant is aesthetic part since muscles will not be reattached. Do deformities occur always or is it possible to regain normal appearance (either when muscle is relaxed or flexd)?.
I would like my sub muscular implants removed. I had implants placed 5 years ago, initial 2 surgeries above the muscle and now below the muscle 2 years ago. I have animation deformity and I'm very aware of them whenever I engage my pecs. I want them removed. I'm 34, no kids, always 50-55kg, 5'8. How likely I will need a lift? Do Need to repair the muscle given the animation? Should I wait 6 months before considering fat transfer?
Hi, I had implants 230cc micro textured silicone implants under muscle in 2001, was an A cup( picture with blue back plan) I changed for 240cc smooth allergan 5 years agolove the way they look but have some BII issues. What can I expect? Lift ? My scar was around areola. What about the dformation of pectoral? What size ? ( have 2 kids (15/19) fed only 8 days each. Can the pectoral be restaured ? SHould I lift same Time or wait? If lift necessary around areola is it possible ? Thank you
Explant of 12 yo Mentor 350 mpp next month. Requested lift and nipple projection reduction. Placement, size and animation deformity bothered me since day one as I am quite active. Does the severity of the animation deformity indicate a successful/unsuccessful repair/outcome? Can the nipple asymmetry & inframammary crease be evened out if a lift isnt performed? How can post surgery adhesions/window shading be avoided? 48yo 59 150lbs. Before implants 34 A/B. Currently 34/36. Thank you!!
I have animation deformity and some scar adhesion/irregularities after removing subpectoral implants that were too big for me and caused problems. My main issue with implants was animation deformity which continued after explant. I am looking for solutions. Will placing implants over the muscle eliminate the animation deformity for sure?
