I had saline implants removed without capsulectomy five months ago but the seroma on my right breast still not completely go away. The left side is normal. I have fluid aspiration 6 times already. The amount of fluid is from 100cc, 60, 40, 30, 20, 10. I still feel the lump/hardness when the fluid is down to 10 cc. I need your professional advises. Please help.
50 yr old desiring smaller, more natural looking breasts without new implants. What happens to the capsule after aspiration - would this increase risk of fluid accumulation and infection? How long can aspirated implants remain before explant surgery? Can mastopexy be performed with explant if 3-6 mos has passed since aspiration giving us better indication of true breast condition?
I have 6 year old Allergan 410 textured implants. 3 years ago I started feeling fluid on my left side, not spontaneous or large amounts but noticeable w/capsular contracture and a rash on the breast w/ the fluid. Went to 4 different doctors and none seemed concerned. MRI, US, and Mammo confirmed fluid and CC. That took about a year total to see doctors and I felt like I was overacting. All is still there and I am explanting 3/13. Should I find a new doctor to aspirate before explant?
I've been approved for breast implant removal. My surgeon with who I had discussed Breast Implant Illness and BIA ALCA, now I just found out he wanted to put toxic killing bags back in me. I no longer feel confident in him doing as we discussed. Is there a surgeon that believes that implants make women sick?
It has been 10 weeks since removal of under muscle silicone implants with partial capsule removal. My right breast is larger and tender. I thought seroma but not sure after ultrasound. There is fluiid in the entire breast cavity. I am having aspiration next week. They estimated 92 ml of fluid. How can I prevent this from occurring again? I have worn compression since surgery.
Please help- I'm currently 8 wks post op from breast implant removal surgery w/out replacement. I had 286cc silicone sub pectoral implants removed; capsules were thin and left intact. At 6 weeks post op, I noticed a bump on my left breast. PS confirmed that it's fluid build up. He aspirated the fluid (about 75 cc) and found that it contained blood. I had another round of aspiration yesterday and it was excruciating. PS wants to reoperate, remove capsule, and place drain in right breast. Agree?
I am 9 days post op and I feel air in my breast cavity that moves when I move my arm up and down. Doesn't hurt, but I can feel and hear it. Can this air be aspirated (like liquid would be) or is the best route to wait for it to be reabsorbed? How long should this take? Does air retention pose harm? My Surgeon is aware and working with me - I am just antsy and searching for opinions. Thank you.
