Had my breast implants removed a year ago after having them in 20 years. Had first set done at 18 but developed capsule constructure so 10 years later had them replaced and then had implants removed completley at 36. One year on the only problem I have noticed is when lying down my right breast which appears smaller than my left breast has a slight indent just below the nipple and my left breast appears wrinkled. This only happens when I lie flat which is why it confuses me
PS says it will look normal again after my new implant surgery in 3 months or so. It seems to me that because of the position of this scar (it looks almost diagonal) and is not actually in the fold that I will have an indented scar and yet and other issue. I was also told that after the explant surgery it will look just like it did before initial surgery and it does not. I don't feel the proper expectations are being set and I'm being set up for even more dissapointment. What do you think?
Im almost 6 months post op with 350cc cohesive implant. My right breast hurts still and they dont look like they are healing in way that is attractive. They dont look natural and they both have an indent. Am I bottoming out or double bubble? How can these be fixed. Im regreting going this route. Im 5'10 180 pounds
I know a big sign of detecting breast cancer is noticing changeds in the breast - contours, indents, etc. After implant removal I know those things are possible just from removing the implants, but what about after they've healed up? Does going through an implant removal surgery and the breast changes that occur, new scar tissue that forms with a capsulectomy, etc., then make it more difficult to detect breast cancer?
Im worried that when I go to remove my implants there will be an indentation in my ribs. Ive heard from many women whove had this experience, in which their ribs are pushed down due to the implants. And after explanting they can see a dent in their breasts. Mine are under the muscle and too big for my frame. Is there a way to fill out this space when doing an explant that is NOT fat grafting? Will a lift help?
Implants removed & PS lightly scored the capsules. No contracture, thin capsules, implants intact, & drains. Post surgery, I noticed that I had a small bruise on the side of 1 nipple & directly under that there was an oval shaped dent. I was told to start massage 1 day after surgery. It hurt a lot so I stopped. The indentation is still there but has slightly improved. It feels like missing tissue. Should I massage that area or will I cause damage? Getting advice from my PS isnt an option.
I recently had 15 year old saline implants removed from under the muscle. I opted to not have a lift and just let my body recover on its own. Since the procedure, it seems like my chest is concave where the implants were, like the is a circular divot or crater. I know that my breasts will fluff as I heal, and I know that I will never have perky, full breasts since I elected to not have a lift, and I am fine with that. But I am wondering if these divots will level out more as time goes on.
My surgeon could not manage to remove the capsule (breast implant removal over the muscle). He said the capsule was very stuck and it was very difficult therefore he only removed part of it. Is he incompetent or this is bound to happen sometimes? I now have a line (indentation) on that breast. It was actually the 'good' breast without obvious signs of capsular contracture. The left one, the 'bad' breast was easy to remove including capsule. They both had capsular contracture
I had small b cup beasts prior to augmentation back In 2008, in 2010 I had my pip implants replaced and I have just found out I have allergan textured biocell implants. I have made the difficult decision to have them removed however i am concerned as to what I will be left with. I have added before & current photos below. Can you tell me if I am likely to need an uplift? I am also concerned about indentations being left after surgery, is this a likely outcome and what causes it? Thank you
I'm 60 yrs old 5'2, 120 lbs Procedures performed on 7/08/2016 : Bilateral implant removal, Bilateral subtotal CAPSULECTOMY , silicone gel implant removal of extravasated silicon gel implant material. Can massaging my breast will help to repair the indentation to my both breast, specially the left breast was distorted big time!
