Hello I have 9 years old silicone implants over the muscle, I'm planning in doing a explant surgery, can I do a capsulectomy with local anesthesia/ and or Twilight anesthesia since I'm super scare and nervous of general anesthesia. Also what's the risks of not removing the capsule if I'm doing this explant because I'm having some health issues and most likely is because my silicone implants are affecting me! My capsule is not hard, thank you!!
I have over the muscle smooth silicone breast implants that I want to get removed. There are no complications, just want them out. My surgeon says he can do it with local anesthesia but also with IV sedation. Which I guess is like twilight. Could the IV part of the anesthesia trigger telogen effluvium of my scalp hair?
I will be having an Enbloc Total Capsulectomy for 34 year old Baker IV level with small rupture in each. (recent MRI diagnosis) My PS said the surgery will take two and a half hours. I'm 70, good health, 128 lbs. 5'5 low body fat. I never thought at the consult to ask this question. Of course I will discuss with him on my pre appointment, Thanks for any input.
I would like to remove my breast implants. They are roughly 9 years old, no problems with them, simply don't want them any longer. Is it possible to get an explant removal under twilight sedation or something similar w/out going under? I have had 2 kids since & wondering is it possible to do a lift under twilight sedation as well if it is determined one is needed? How do I find a board certified physician to do a procedure that doesn't require me to go completely under (just call around)? Ty!
I have saline, smooth, round, high profile 300cc implants. they are 12 years old. No problems with them just want simple explant. Without capsulectomy or En Bloc. can removal be done with anethesia? Just local and maybe twilight? Do all explants need drains? I had a Tubal done with twilight and remember nothing about the procedure so I think I could handle saline bags taken out. Does the Dr. have to have an OR suite in his office to do twilight sedation? Thanks
