I had a breast augmentation surgery 8 years ago (350 cc) and I would like to remove it now. I want to know if my breasts will look saggy after the removal? Or is it a different story from one person to another? If I had to do the breast lift, will the doctor be able to avoid using the “lollipop technique” ? Meaning that, can the incesion be done only on the nipples to avoid scars? I would really like to remove the implant but would like to avoid scars as much as possible. Thank you in advan
Answer: Doy ou need a lift after removing your breast implants? Thank you for your question. No, not everyone will need a lift. If you choose to have a lift, will you have scars? Depending on the type of lift. When I perform a breast implant removal, I will do a psuedo lift at the same time. This does not creat any additional scar.

Answer: Depends completely on your anatomy Dear Nouvh thank you for your question. The need for a breast lift after implant removal depends on factors such as skin elasticity, breast tissue quality, and the size of the implants. In some cases, the breasts may appear saggy after removal, while in others, they may retain a satisfactory shape. If a lift is necessary, the incisions can often be limited to around the nipples (periareolar incision) to minimize scarring. However, the specific technique used will depend on your individual anatomy and desired outcome. It's essential to discuss your concerns and preferences with your surgeon during your consultation to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Answer: Implant removal Dear nouvh, it is not possible to tell for sure if you will need breast lift after implant removal. There is a lot of different factors that affect this. You can get implant removal initially, and wait to see the final shape of your breasts. Later you can get breast lift if it is needed. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Will I need a lift? The look you will have after implant removal will depend on a few factors. The length of time the implants were in place, the size of the implants, and your skin's elasticity are all influences in determining if a lift is needed. Without an exam or at least photos it is difficult to say if a lift will be recommended, and if so, which type. It's best to visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.

Answer: I have to also lift the breasts after the removal? Hello @nouvh, thank you for your question. My opinion is that a breast implant removal should be combined with an immediate breast augmentation to reposition the breast tissue and improve the projection of the upper pole and medial areas using the BRALAN (Breast Reconstruction Anatomical Lift Augmentation) Technique as the results will be aesthetically appropriate and will have an L-shaped incision to remove the implants, which minimizes the amount of visible scarring in your cleavage. If you are considering a breast lift, consultation with a plastic surgeon experienced in this procedure is critical to ensure optimal results. Best regards. Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
