I had breast implants via the dual plane technique for 3 years. I explanted and the surgeon advised that he secured the pec muscle back to its natural position with sutures. Animation deformity and chest muscle tightness was an issue whilst I had the implants and this has persisted after removal. I've searched endlessly and have found information about the mechanics of animation deformity with implants but I can't find any information about what is occuring anatomically post explant.
I originally had breast augmentation in 2016- subpectoral. I was 37 y.o. 128 lbs, athletic body type. In 2018 I developed chronic upper back/neck pain. In 2020 I had breast implants removed. The pain persists. I have severe animation deformity with any arm movement and my pec region always feels tight. Could it be that pec muscle has adhered to chest wall causing all issues? Countless phys. therapists said tight pecs can certainly cause upper back/ neck pain. contemplating muscle reattachment.
My pec muscle was not repaired to original position upon explant 7 years ago. I continue to have breast pain at the bottom of my breasts. Is it possible therr are complications with my pec muscle this long after? Or problems with scar tissue?
Is pec flex deformity the only consequence to not having the pec muscle repaired after explant or can there be other problems with the muscle? I had my implants removed 7 yeara ago but recently have pain near the fold that feels muscular as well as burning pain. Can sagging from age make the muscle compromised or burny?
I had my implants in 2010, removal in 2016. The impants 350cc were intact, capsule was very thin so it was left and pec muscle was not reattached where original surgeon cut it (ugh). I have had severe muscular upper back pain since the day I got the implants. Have began power sculpt gym class, back paij is worse again. I noticed my scar tissue under breast is thick again. Upon massaging it agressively, my back loosens up. What couuld be happening here? Is my pec damaged or stuck? Is there a fix?
My muscles were not repaired during explant 7 year ago. I had a breast mri due to pain at the bottom of my breasts. The results said no chest wall deformities does this mean my pec muscles are in a fairly good spot and ok?
I had a BA 10 months ago under the muscle and removed 4 months later. I don't have animation deformity, however I feel my petrol muscle on my dominant side jump/not feel attached doing certain things, it's not as bad as it was but psychology it is a weird feeling. Is there a way I can strengthen my muscles so it jumps less in future or will this be forever?
I had my submuscular implants removed 7 years ago. I recently began a regular weight class about 10 months ago. Im experiencing pain in my pec muscle under my breast fold and terrible back pain. After getting in touch with explant surgeon, I discovered she did NOT repair my muscles after explant. I am concerned this is why i have so much back pain. Can these muscles be repaired at this stage, 7 years later? If so, would a plastic surgeon be who I contact or would an oethopedic suegeon do this?
I would like my sub muscular implants removed. I had implants placed 5 years ago, initial 2 surgeries above the muscle and now below the muscle 2 years ago. I have animation deformity and I'm very aware of them whenever I engage my pecs. I want them removed. I'm 34, no kids, always 50-55kg, 5'8. How likely I will need a lift? Do Need to repair the muscle given the animation? Should I wait 6 months before considering fat transfer?
Hi and thanks for your time. When I have my implants removed will the pectoral muscle reattach and be like it was pre surgery? Its been 20 years. Also, is it possible that sub pec implants gave caused nerve damage radiating to my scapular area? I have horribl nerve pain issues in my scapula and when I had shingles it was on a nerve that caused pain from my mid back all the way around to my nipple. This made me wonder if the nerve pain I have had since implant is related to possible nerve damage
