I had my implants finally removed last Wednesday the 17th,the day after surgery I got 50cc out after 8 hrs (I drain every 8 hrs) the second day 30 cc after that it was kind of clear ,then I felt tubing it was quite hard so I kind of squeeze it and then it kind of loosen and now is red again..is this normal?. I have appointment the 24th.. actually it's only been 3 days.
I'm wondering if the healing process for breast explant (local anesthesia and shell only removal) will be quicker since Ive already had my implants drained and have worn a compression bra for a few weeks? (My breasts have mildly fluffed.) By quicker, I mean recovery time before resuming work/exercise and needing to wear the compression bra all over again. Also, will having the shells removed improve the appearance of my breasts? Thank you.
My saline implants are removed 8 weeks ago without capsulectomy and drainage. The fluid keeps coming back on my right breast. The doctor aspirated the fluid 3 times already since surgery but I still feel the right side breast has some soreness/mild pain when touch. Will the fluid do any harm to my breast if I leave it there? Will there be a complication? What can I do about it? Thank you for your advise.
Is it safe to remove implants with local by just punctureing the implant, draining it then stitching it back up? I have had my saline submuscular implants for 10 years and want them out.I have no problems with them they are just too big. I am a DD, but was a large B small C prior. They are not hard or anything. I also am afraid of looking to saggy.
If I drain my saline breast implants how long would it take for my breast skin to firm up and my breast tissue to fluff per say compared to removing the implant? I ask because I am undecided if whether or not to totally remove them or get a revision with smaller implants. I was originally a 32A now I'm a 32DD (500cc) post 3 children all breast feed and I'm bottoming out. Just afraid of what they will look like. Is there a difference between the way they will look deflated vs removing them?
I had drains after explant and hardly any fluid came out (capsules left in place). All was good until i went to the gym at about 5 weeks post-op (dr. ok'd). Now my left breast is hard underneath and it feels like the capsule is filling back up. Is this ok to leave alone or should I have it removed? I just had my check-up and this happened a week later. The breast is slightly larger than it was but otherwise you cannot tell anything is wrong visually, but it feels hard underneath. Thank you.
I am going to have my smooth, saline implants removed. I've had the implants for 16 years. My plastic surgeon has recommended to have the implants drained (in the office), and then wait 6 weeks to do the explant surgery without a capsulectomy. All the women I have talked to have said, NO! to the draining. Is draining the implants before explant routine?
