I recently had explant and mastopexy, grade IV capsular contracture to left. Capsule removed with significant inflammation and blood evident, in last few days have had some swelling, inflammation and hardness to breast. PS says it is a hematoma, he tried to aspirate it but the blood has congealed. He said that my body should just slowly break it down and re absorb it, can I use ice packs to help with pain? Or should I apply heat? What is the best treatment?
I am a 34 year old who had an under muscle silicone breast augmentation 3 years ago. The first implants never settled correctly and I had MAJOR inflammation from them. The doctor replaced them with smaller implants and the inflammation went away, but I still find them uncomfortable. Im interested in an explanation but Im very nervous about the process. Is it dangerous to do since they are under the muscle? I have a baby now and Im super scared to die from surgery now. Help please.
What happens to the space after the implant and capsule are removed? Is there bacteria, inflammatory cells, and fragments of silicone left in the capsule after Explant? Is that why the capsule should be removed or do these particles wash away. I'm reading conflicting information on the removal of the capsule.
I have had issues with my left breast since 2 weeks after getting them. I had follow up appointments for discomfort in left breast, felt like implant was flopping when I bent over. I've had mastitis in the left breast. My health has gone down hill since having surgery. Severe fatigue, depression, coughing, feelings of chest pain & burning sensation. Trouble with inflammation systematically. Am I crazy? Can these implants cause these symptoms?
I have had 300cc high profile, silicone implants under the muscle for 4 years. For the last 2 years, I have had inconsistent but recurring pain in my sternum. It also sometimes feels like the muscle is pulling too far from my sternum. I have not been diagnosed with costochondritis but it does seem consistent with my symptoms.
