Male, nearly 48 yrs old, 6' tall, 175 lbs. I lost 65 lbs at a rate of 1.3 lbs/wk after many years of being overweight. My weight has been stable using tirzepatide for 3-4 months, and I do not anticipate being impacted by drug shortages, so I am interested in restoring my appearance. What would be required to compensate for the loss of volume and excess skin shown in the photos? Do I need a facelift, or would fillers be an option? For either of those, what types would be my best options?
I am scheduled to have a face/neck lift with local anesthesia and just some oral sedation (Xanax). I had another surgeon tell me this week that it was impossible to do this without giving a toxic dosage of local, and that it was also dangerous because no one would be monitoring my blood pressure or vital signs. He said he had seen many things go wrong this way. Can someone please enlighten me as to how true this is?
I had an endoscopic brow & cheek lift in Nov 23. Post-surgery the swelling appeared uniform. In Feb 24 it became more apparent under the eye area creating swollen festoons. Im 6 months post and it's very swollen. My doctor says it'll go by itself in a years time, and he cannot remove it w/ a needle because the liquid is mixed inside my face. I tried Indiba and massages but no improvement. Is this a normal side effect? Should I be worried? What I can to make it go away? Thank you.
I have had filler numerous times prior to my surgery. The most recent round of dermal filler was about 6 months before my mid-facelift. Should I had removed the filler before the surgery? I forgot to mention to my surgeon that I had recently gotten filler. Will it negatively impact the results? Was it in the way of anything, like tissue? What happens to face filler during and after a facelift?
Almost 1 yr post deep plane face/necklift, I have numbness and irritation around my ears and sides of face still. I also noticed changes in my skin, its rougher textured and has a very red mottled appearance which is definitely unusual for me. I was wondering if nerve damage is affecting my skin quality, and if it would be beneficial to use a TENS machine? I also have quite a bit of inflammation and pain still. Thanks.
Hello, I want to rejuvenate my face and I would greatly appreciate advice regarding what surgeries would benefit me. | want to treat: Vertical depressions on forehead due to loss of volume, Horizontal wrinkles on forehead, Lower eye bags, Nasolabial folds , Hanging cheeks when looking down or tilting head. Volume / sagging in the area of submandibular glands and digastric muscles. Sun damaged skin. What surgeries or treatments would you recommend? Your advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks, J
I've been highly considering a face lift for years now, I always had saggy cheeks and nasolabial lines. Ive had some fillers it did look better but did not really fix the sagging. Should I do something more drastic even for my young age ?
Im 30 and Ive noticed a HUGE difference in my skin. When Im not smiling I dont see it but as soon as I smile my jaw/cheek area bunches up and creates a massive extra skin look. Its almost as if theres lack of support from my jaw bone or cheek bone? Does this call for a facelift or sculptra or filler to resolve this? It also appears my chin has fallen.
