The surgeon said it was scar tissue and two weeks ago removed the scar tissue from underneath my chin now it looks worse than before . Can this be corrected and if so then how ?
I strongly bumped my forehead (right above the right eyebrow) 3 years ago and a hard dime sized lump formed in its place. I consulted a doctor about it and he explained to me that I fractured my that part of my forehead and the bone got thicker as it healed. It was also explained to me that it can be removed, but shaving it off will cause the same effect after a while because bone thickens when it heals. Is this true?
I am a 68-year old man who had his first facelift five weeks ago. On my pre-op, the doctor drew a picture showing how the scar would follow the rear junction of my ear about 3/4 of the way up, and then cross the shortest possible distance into my hairline. Photos show what was actually done. Behind the left ear the low incision ends in bunched skin that forms two very noticeable hard lumps. (My wife's facelift sixteen years ago was done with high incisions.) WHY did my doctor do this????
Ive been reading a lot about facelifts and several people have mentioned lumps and bumps from dissolvable sutures. I am 65 and considering a facelift. Most of what I have read says they take nine months to dissolve. Are they visible for 9 months? That does not fit with most descriptions of a facelift and how happy you will be by 4 to 6 weeks after.
I had a facelift around 6 months ago, cus I got a bit of sagging on my face from doing zygoma reduction surgery 6 months before that. After the facelift, I have hard ridges on BOTH sides of my cheek. Any thoughts on what could've went wrong? Maybe my soft tissue was still firm from the zygoma reduction, and when it got pulled from the lift, it created sum sort of tissue bunching? I can tell it's not going to go away on it's own. It just feels to firm.
Many people have had extensive swelling and lumps from a deep plane lift. Does smoking have anything to do with this slow process. From roping in the neck to hematomas to lumps appearing a month later. There seems to be huge concerns about this and wanting instant 3 week results. Does it not take 6-12months for the final healing? Are these lumps and bumps just swelling?
I know it's still early, and I have talked with my surgeon, but I would just like another opinion. I'm 3 weeks out from a facelift and neck lipo. I am still swollen and very tight, understandably, but I'm mostly concerned with what I call the bicycle tire around my neck. My surgeon advised that I do some massage and just be patient. But when I look online I mostly see platysmal bands, not these horizontal lumps. Is this normal?
I had facelift in 2011. 3 attempts to correct some issues. Stopped doing anything until 2014. Different doctor corrected pixie ears, lump in left cheek (fat) and did fat grafts on cheeks and corners of mouth. Fat grafts did not work. I have tried fillers which were done by qualified doctor, but no improvement to face or lips, only charged money for nothing. It is embarrassing to see pictures of my smile. Is there anything to improve this? No more joker mouth please.
