I had a facelift around 6 months ago, cus I got a bit of sagging on my face from doing zygoma reduction surgery 6 months before that. After the facelift, I have hard ridges on BOTH sides of my cheek. Any thoughts on what could've went wrong? Maybe my soft tissue was still firm from the zygoma reduction, and when it got pulled from the lift, it created sum sort of tissue bunching? I can tell it's not going to go away on it's own. It just feels to firm.
I am 9 days post op from a lower facelift and neck lift. 50 yrs old. I have swelling still on face and jawline and on right side along jawline I can feel a ridge. Will the compress help it at this point? Thank you
I have a fold of skin at my temple on the right side and a horizontal line with a ridge of thickness below it on the left side. My surgeon was annoyed and somewhat defensive when I expressed concern on my 2 week post op visit, saying he wasn't a novice and this would resolve with time. He also said if any revision was needed I would need to wait 5 to 6 months. I'm not seeing how time will change it. It looks the same at 26 days as it did 1 day post op. How concerned should I be or am I over reacting?
Under right eye I have a ridge line that is not resolving. If I gently run my finger over it, I can feel tiny hard bumps evenly spaced out under the skin starting in the inner corner. The line is not hard, and feels like loose skin. My surgeon said that it looks fine, and that if I have an issue after 6 months then I can come back. What may be causing this and will it resolve over time? Thank you.
I have developed numerous hard ridges in my cheeks and neck that have shown no improvement in the last 2 weeks. My face is so tight that I can not smile and opening my mouth is limited. I have tried massage and warm compresses with no results. My scar was reopened for needle aspiration and the bumps were solid and could not be drained. It sounded like the needle was hitting hard califications. The surgeon now thinks it is scar tissue, or hardened oil cysts. Do I need a second opinion?
5 weeks post facelift & fat transfer surgery. Ridges have not changed in weeks. Opened for aspiration, but solid. I have 6 large HARD bumps in lower cheeks and neck that have not changed with massage, heat, or aspiration. From what I have read I am beginning to think it may be fat necrosis, if so what is the next procedure to resolve it? My PS scares me when he says, he has not seen this and it is just the way I am healing. He is trying, but I am worried that I should be taking action.
I just completed a 5 day 4 mg Medrol dose pack after seeing my plastic surgeon for the persistent swelling ( ridge) in front of my ears and swelling that now extends across my cheeks. It did nothing to reduce the swelling. My face is much more round then it was. I am asking what I need to do or ask the plastic surgeon to get the swelling reduced sometimes it is difficult to chew because of the swelling. Is it a hematoma or swollen lymph gland or a ridge from the sutures or surgery itself?
I had a facelift just over a year ago. After 6 months I began noticing some horizontal ridges on one cheek, as if the skin had been unevenly pulled. This has gotten a bit worse more recently. Can this be corrected with surgery, or is there some kind of laser or light pulse treatment that could fix this?
56 year old male. Face still numb from cheekbones down to and under the neck along with this ridge on my face. Sort of wish I hadn't had the procedure! I know my doc will just say it's normal on the next post-op. Do I just walk around looking like I've had a Facelift for several months due to this ridge? Just need another opinion. Thank you!
My skin looks like it's pulled to much on one side creating a ridge /line with loose skin under it I'm only 4 days post op so hoping it's just swelling but it just doesn't feel right. Any suggestions as to what it could be would be gratefully received.
