With initial signs of facial ageing I am considering a facelift with the main focus on improvement of jowls and marionette lines. I came across a facelift technique - en-block, which the provider explains implies the the skin and the underlying SMAS layer remaining attached to each other - the skin then automatically goes with the deeper firm layer - and they are lifted as a whole. I understand that for the optimal results the skin needs to be stitches with zero tension.
I am in my mid 40s and have visible nasalabial folds and marionette lines. I've been to few facelift consults and ended up with conflicting opinions. Some surgeons say I won't need a facelift for 5+ years, while others say I'm a good candidate now. Do I need a facelift or can I just fix the nasalabial folds and marionette lines with either fillers or fat transfer? Is adding fat to the lower face a bad idea because there will be more volume to sag in the future?
i've done alot of treatments to fix my marionettes and jowling, including morpheus8 , fat loss injections even working out my masseter, buccal fat removal and chin lipo, threads. I feel like I'm wasting my money and should just get a mini facelift, but alot of surgeons have disagreed because of my age, But i think treating it from now will prevent it from happening worse when im 40. what do you think?
I'm 66 and a happy person. But I look sad because of the lines going down from the corners of my mouth to each side of my chin. I also have little pockets of fat on each side along my jaw line. Guess this is all normal, but I'm tired of hiding behind my long hair. I'm afraid of a face lift, and have read that a lower face lift does not take care of the Marionette lines anyway. What to do? Thank you
My skin and facial muscles have started to sag. I don't really have wrinkles, but I do have sever Marionette lines. My cheeks are sunken and my eyes look hollow. I've heard and talked to doctors about several lasers and fillers, but realized that at the end the tab would cost as much as a facelift, considering that I'd have to go back every year for more fillers and more laser treatments. They say though, that I'm too young for a Facelift. Any advice?
Im 34 and have always had big cheeks and a round face, but have started to notice signs of ageing around my neck, jowels, smile and marionette lines. Ive had Botox on my forehead, a filler in my frown line, but looking for more permanent options. Am I too young for a micro facelift? What about PDO threads? O I am worried filler would just make my cheeks look bigger, but is this an option?
I'm thinking aabout a facelift procedure. I've tried filler but my marionette area is deeply depressing me as the filller doesn't seem to do much. I also have jowls forming. I know I'm probably deemed young for this procedure but seeing myself in photos is becoming upsetting as I look so sad and tired
I am 43 and am unhappy with my facial sagging. The area around my mouth/marionettes is my greatest area of unhappiness. My head is swimming from all the different types of facial procedures I have been researching. I would greatly appreciate professional recommendations!
I am 43 and researching facelifts. My biggest concern is the marionette lines that have formed due to sagging skin/cheeks. When I lift my cheek and the marionette fold goes away, I feel satisfied with this look. When looking at facelift before and afters, I notice that the jowls always look good and pulled back, but sometimes there seems to be no improvement on marionette folds. Why might this be?
I've always disliked how my left side has a deeper more noticeable marionette line that creates a shadow. I've always had big cheeks even when I was underweight, and I do know my jaw is uneven and makes my face and smile uneven but the lines has gotten worse as I've aged (I'm 28) and I don't know what the best way to go about fixing this is. Fillers? Botox? Facelift? Or a combination of things. Not sure what options I have or what would give me best results.
