I currently have pdo threads. In the future, when I have more sagging and jowling, I plan on having a facelift/necklift I have heard that pdo threads could cause scar tissue, which would affect the results of a future facelift/necklift. Is this true? I have heard that the surgery would be more difficult for the surgeon to perform because of all of the scar tissue build up in the face. Please advise.
Hello! So I am 27 and have a lot of filler and had one thread lift. I had my fillers dissolved with possibly of radiesse being left. My tissues were severely deflated so I had a minimal fat transfer for the stem cells. The doctor noticed my skin underneath was hard and said it might be do to scar tissue(,. Is there a surgeon who would take this out without a facelift? It was compared to someone who gets breast implant formulation on my cheeks. Thanks!how much does this run for?$$
-first pic: I reduced my brow bone, smoothed the bump on the bridge of my nose, fixed the fat pouch thing by my mouth, and made my chin slightly smaller -second pic: only edited nose.have had a previous rhinoplasty, not sure if this is scar tissue or regrown bone. unhappy with the tip, I would like it to be more defined, but I think I might be satisfied just rasping the bridge/lowering radix. -3rd pic: want mini facelift/cheek lift for the jowls/boxy face shape -unsure of where to start
I had a neck/ facelift 4 years ago and it went horrible wrong. I was so overpulled it still hurts turning my head, I have severe scarring, step of deformety, loss of sideburns, nervedamage, pixieears etc and a very strange face and neck. I went to MRI and the pictures show my muscle growing now in different direction, stange fractuons to smas and a knot of scartissue. How can this happen except from that the muscle have been cut so aggresivly that the muscle must have loosend and pulled apart.
Could I have a facelift with fat grafting to cover the capsule from the cheek and jaw implants? Or will the scar tissue cause the fat to look lumpy? Could the scar tissue completely soften or resorb?
I had a face lift 12 years ago(!) primarily to deal with my (thanks, mom) turkey neck.. I developed a parotid tumor under my right ear on a lymph node. I wound up with some facial paralysis. Now, of course, my neck is showing drop and aging skin. Would scar tissue be an issue? This has been a nightmare for me....I would like to feel as youthful as possible.
5 weeks post op. deep plane facelift 5 weeks ago. i have dimpling when i smile (internal scarring from hematomas i developed on both side of cheeks). i am more lumpy on one side (hard and soft lumps). i am mostly worried about how i look when i smile (thick lower face and dimples). i have internal scar tissue that i am treating with steroid injections, warm massage and ultrasound. am i swollen, am i dimply bc of internal scar tissue or imply doomed? help!
I had a smas facelift (no liposuction) in March. After 6 months, I suffer from prominent platysma neck bands, tightness, and a shrink wrap feeling of the skin in the neck. I had none of these issues before facelift. PS says this is induration, that the muscles and skin are remodeling which will resolve on its own over time. It seems to be getting worse- not better. PS says that he did not cut any of the platysma muscles so the tightening is due to inflammation or scar tissue. Thoughts or advice?
I've had multiple procedures (thread lifts), but the results are so short-lived - it's frustrating! The scar tissue created under the skin has had the affect of 'propping' my skin up; however, I appreciate that thread lifts cannot address the SMAS layer & any fat that has travelled down. If I don't have much excess skin to trim, but would like a lift of the SMAS layer & fat, am I still a good candidate for a facelift?
