I had an endoscopic brow & cheek lift in Nov 23. Post-surgery the swelling appeared uniform. In Feb 24 it became more apparent under the eye area creating swollen festoons. Im 6 months post and it's very swollen. My doctor says it'll go by itself in a years time, and he cannot remove it w/ a needle because the liquid is mixed inside my face. I tried Indiba and massages but no improvement. Is this a normal side effect? Should I be worried? What I can to make it go away? Thank you.
Hello, I had a full deep plane face/necklift in May, with seroma, infection, necrosis and am left with some pretty bad scarring. Not only along incisions but lumps of scar in my neck and face. My Dr. says to accept an move on. I still have a lot of pain an a feeling like inflammation and spasm like pain. I saw another PS, who quoted me 18000 to fix. Is there any way to help pain and healing non surgically? My face also gets puffy and swollen off and on and can feel hard ridges.
Hello, I am 6 months post facelift/neck lift procedure, but my cheeks and neck still swell up and burn, as well as the laser procedure under the eyes. I healed well, and had no issues, but the burning and the swelling never went away. My original surgeon is not able to help, I tried many different steroids, anti-inflammatory drugs, medical laser, ared light therapy. Nothing seems to work and it does not feel like its getting better. I am on Lyrica for the pain 150m x 3 a day. I am losing hope :(
Many people have had extensive swelling and lumps from a deep plane lift. Does smoking have anything to do with this slow process. From roping in the neck to hematomas to lumps appearing a month later. There seems to be huge concerns about this and wanting instant 3 week results. Does it not take 6-12months for the final healing? Are these lumps and bumps just swelling?
My wife had a face lift three weeks ago. After first week, returned to Dr's office, he noticed abnormal swelling on Lower cheek that was hard and bruised about 3cm x 4cm in size) it swelled out about an inch from the rest of her cheek. Was told to do nothing about it. Stated that the hematoma should go down and not to worry about it. My wife dosent want a picture taken, due to the size of the swelling. All I am asking if this is normal. Im just trying to get info and help her out...Thanks
Hi there I still have a lot of swelling post op but I look like I have downs syndrome. My eyes are too far apart and half the size as pre op. I don't look myself. My PS reassures me and I would never go to another PS as he was amazing. But I need reassurance from other PS's who deal with worry warts. Pic one is pre op and #2 is now-day 11. I realize its only five weeks, but now that the swellings gone down, I see quite a bit of puckering around the scar under my chin, And weird swelling or protruding platysmal bands. bands tightened during the surgery. No lipo under chin, but he said he manually removed some fat. I am healthy 58 y.o. & I dont smoke. I healed very nicely last year after a breast reduction. I dont want to wait a yr. for revision. It is feasible to revise 8-9 months post op? Will be seeing my dr, about this
I am considering a facelift/neck lift/brow lift and I am concerned about the bruising and swelling. I bruise very easily. A friend of mine just got a facelift in San Francisco from a Doctor who uses TXA to prevent bruising. She hardly had any bruising and swelling. Can I request this from my doctor? What is your experience? Risks? Is there something better?
I had a facelift, 2 years ago .Following surgery the swelling was extreme and even now my face swells and is numb on one side. Worst of all,since surgery, my bite is completely off and I have difficulty chewing & smiling .I am not even sure what sort of Dr to see or where to begin. I also have trouble turning head fully.I have tried talking to Dr and he said to give time and is evasive and takes months to get appt.He is well known but not helpful.Have you heard of bite issues w/ lift b4?
